/e: !!! RECENT EXCHANGE !!! Ravaging Ghoul to Brawl

Hello and welcome to my deck!

As promised here is the guide to the deck I used for climbing from rank 3 to Legend on the first day. I don't have any recordings or special prove because I "just came online for crafting" resulting in playing and reaching the Legend rank in 9 hours of optimising and practising this deck.

Generall Idea

So, the generall idea can be best explained by watching the manacurve:

Earlygame:

Almost half of the deck contains 1 and 2 mana cards, which means that the chance of having a good starting hand is pretty big. The experience shows that in the most cases you will be able to deal with any kind of early bord control battles.

Midgame:

Here commes the beauty of this deck.

After playing the first turns you can usually see what type of deck the enemy is playing and what kind of minions he will play and/or how much dmgoutput he will have in the next rounds. So you decide either to build up the board with strong drops like Twilight GuardianBlackwing Corruptor and Emperor Thaurissan or to continue clearing his boards with whirlwind effects and carddraw.

Lategame:

Play your big bosses but let the enemy waste his Polymorphs and hardremovals on some lower dragons before you play Deathwing, Dragonlord. Finish the enemy off with high value plays and pressure. We have many tools here like Grommash HellscreamGorehowl and the dragons itself.

 Mulligan

Since it is a midrange deck, means the range of your cards goes from early game pressure until to lategame pressure. And that is how you go for the mulligans. Fiery War AxeAlexstrasza's ChampionArmorsmith are the ones to pick of course. Acolyte of PainWhirlwind and Execute is also possible. But be carefull with Execute. It is your only removal and there are many high life drops in the game now.

With coin you should consider keeping Twilight Guardian since the chance of drawing another dragon or Alexstrasza's Champion is very high.

The mulligan is pure common sense imo but you can watch my choices on stream. I will explain the mulligan most of the times there.

 Why this card?

Execute: This card is selfexplanatory, even though i must add that it has huge impact, because of this themed boss cards like c'thun and other high life minions. Killing a 16/16 boss-legendary-lord-ultraheavy-wtf-zomfg for 1 mana is kind of "ok".

Whirlwind: Activator for so many of your cards and for Blood Warriors.

Alexstrasza's Champion: Substitute for Fiery War Axe if not drawn right away. 2 mana for a 3/3 with charge is insane value when compared to Kor'kron Elite for example. And 2 early charge minions in a midrange deck can't be wrong. Especially in the early game they give you so much value in trading.

Armorsmith: Very important card in your deck. It should be used like she is used in the old midrange/grim patron decks. Since she is the only card that can provide you sustain, it should be played with brain. The whirlwind effects should help when you really need some armor! If necessary copy it with Blood Warriors.

Cruel Taskmaster: Added those 2 in the later stages of the deck. They are incredibly flexible with the dmg. They are either +1 dmg or +2 dmg when casted on ally, card draw, Grommash Hellscream activator and so on.

Fiery War Axe: There we are, one of the surviving weapons in the warrior disarming. Death's Bite is gone and our 2 mana weapon still clears every early game drops, except for Totem Golem

Battle Rage: Card draw is very important in this deck. Dont hesitate to use it early for just 2-3 cards. Having many options in your hand makes this deck incredibly flexible and creative. Has some of the Handlock-logic where you have many options and pick the most suited one.

Ravaging Ghoul: He is the subtitue for Death's Bite triggering all your effects that benefit from whirlwind while putting a solid body on the field.

Acolyte of Pain: Even though this card got nerfed due to the removal of Death's Bite, it's still very effective in decks where there are still whirlwinds. Yes, this is such a deck. Don't waste it, card draw is very important in this deck.

Blood Warriors: Bread n butter card. The value of this card is so insane, that many other Warriordeckbuilder just don't realise. Other than Battle Rage you don't have to quantitative have damaged minions. Not only! F. e.: You will often have boards like a taunter minion + armorsmith f.e.. Since the majority of your minions has high life and due to the fact that you have 4 whirlwinds it shouldn't be a problem to activate Blood Warriors for the exact same board next turn. And that is the "duplicate the same problems" tactic. Which means that your opponent will have to deal with the same board 1 turn later and has to use again cards and stuff to clear it. While you have even more dragons and minions in your hand. Deathwing, Dragonlord closes the case.

Twilight Guardian: 3/6 Taunt dragon for 4 mana. Nothing to say there more.

Gorehowl: Yes yes yes! Extremely high value. It substitutes the Death's Bite best imo. Once it is played you can clear a minion every round for the next 3 rounds for sure! And you can use Grommash for non lethal turns so the enemy thinks you don't have any finishers anymore and then you finish them off with this awesome weapon. Happened to me too many times!

Blackwing Corruptor: Nice instant damage + 5/4 body. Simply good.

Emperor Thaurissan: The combos in this deck are very strong. Even stronger if cheaper. Once he is played you will benefit the whole game from him. He is also something like a taunt since enemies will always take the effort to kill him asap.

Grommash: Nothing much to say there. He is the man in the icecream van. If he or Blood Warriors get under Emperor Thaurissan the values will explode.

Chillmaw: Another awesome card and taunt. He is the "brawl" in your deck. Use him whisely.

Chromaggus: 8 mana + 2 mana Battle Rage is a possible technique. Or playing him with acolythes on the field or simply getting him after your Deathwing, Dragonlord dies. Mostly the enemy won't have any more response on this the turn he kills Deathwing, resulting in getting minimum 1 copy of a random card you draw. Cards for free, always good.

Ysera: That one is completely crazy. Once on the field you will have a hell of a time removing it. Played with deathwing the enemy should have huuuge trouble. Every spell she gives you will improve your playstyle so much.

Deathwing, Dragonlord: Not just that he looks cool, but he is a 12/12 body. WHAAAAAAT? Value Value Value. The enemy has a big boss but clearing him is risky too, often resulting in him surviving and dealing damage. Consider if the enemy has some mass removals but often they waste everything very early, because they simply dont expect such a curve. He is something like that Varian Wrynn for this dragon midrange deck!
