This deck is the ultimate answer to any aggro deck out there whether it be face shaman, zoo or tempo mage you should have no problem defeating them. Against more control decks such as a C'thun deck in my testing, I have found it is definitely winnable, however if they hold onto a doomcaller the whole game and then bring there C'thun back from the dead you will loose. There is a way around this, if you aldor, humility, or eadric there C'thun you could win before it dies. That's just the basics Guide below
Face shaman= the scummiest deck and maybe most powerful is brought to their knees with this deck.
Mulligan= Doomsayer, Aldor, Mind control Tech, Pyromancer, With a coin humility, ooze and Senjin.
Guide= the basic idea is to stall them till you have board control and then drop a huge forbidden healing or just drop Ragnoros the light lord and win. Stall the early game with aldor and doomsayer, Often times they will play feral spirits and then You can Mind control tech them which is a huge swing. I wouldn't play a tempo ooze especially by turn 4/5 because probably a doom hammer will come down and oozing that is huge.
Warlock Zoo= defiantly a favored Matchup with pyromancer and consecration to clear their board double Mind control tech is also huge.
Mulligan= Same as face shaman just keep ooze even without coin and keep true silver with coin, if you have at least one other good mulligan like aldor or doomsayer i would keep truesilver with no coin.
Guide= Control the early game with Doomsayer and mind control tech, Aldor and wild pyromancer. If you have concentration don't be afraid to pass a few turns let them over extend and then blast them. If the board is being flooded try to save a humility eadric or aldor for a sea giant. BE AWARE of your health total, they can easily burst for 14 with leeroy double power overwhelming or soul fire. Be mindful if they played there Dark peddler cards because if they are saving them it is probably burst.
Tempo mage= I played one in the video and won not really sure if this deck is common i played it once so for the guide just watch the last game in the video, because am not positive how to play it yet with little experience.
Mulligan= Doomsayer, Aldor, Ooze, Mind control tech and truesilver. With coin senjin and solemn vigil IF YOU have Doomsayer.
C'thun decks= If you're playing a lot of these i would not recommend this deck as this deck is designed to take down aggro. Try out my Priest C'thun if you are playing a lot of C'thun decks.
Mulligan= Doomsayer, Aldor, Mind control tech, ooze, true silver, and elise. senjin and Solemn vigil WITH doomsayer.
Guide= Control the early game try to get elise out you will need the golden money to win the game. Try not to draw to much because you are going to want to take it to fatigue so make sure your a few cards ahead. Once they play C'thun you have two options change its attack to one or equality. remember C'thun will get buffed if he is on the field. Most of these decks run doomcaller so if you haven't seen one yet aldor the C'thun instead of equality so it won't die for a few turns then drop golden money and try to win before C'thun dies. If they already played doomcaller or you know they don't have it for any reason then go for an equality play on him.
Thanks for reading may the luck be with you. If you want me to cover another deck right in the comments or send me a private message.
This is not an anti-aggro deck, this is an anti control deck. You make big minions useless and have expensive board clears that requires more than one card.
What do you think about adding Stampeding Kodo in this deck? I see other control Paladin decks in the past have it. I replaced Elise with it.
Elise is not a card you should replace. It's your only real win condition in many matchups.
unfortunately this deck is completely destroyed by the tempo warrior popularised by sjow a couple of days ago :(
Good deck, but had to make some personal adjustments:
-2 Tuskarr Jouster,+2 Keeper of Uldaman: As It turns out, playing a joust card during a meta where you are encouraged to play a 10 mana card in your deck isn't the wisest of choices. Keeper, meanwhile is a solid offensive and defensive card, great for control.
-1 Eadric the Pure,-1 Mind Control Tech, +2 A Light in the Darkness: I simply don't own Eadric, and I often ended up using only one MCT very often as my board clears with Doomsayer, Equality+Pyromancer, and Consecration ended up being sufficient. A Light in the Darkness is actually a very good tech card in control paladin decks, especially with us now having little to do on turn 2 (RIP Minibot. Its gotten me some pretty clutch wins too, especially by pulling a second Tirion or Ragnaros in the nick of time.
Tuskarr Jouster always lose troller healer
Words cannot express how much I hate Tuskarr Jouster
Is this the fishing tournament?
N'Zoth priest destroys this deck (and other control decks), but it's pretty good for me.
Correction, everything destroys this deck.
Just wanted to write the creator of this deck and let you know I went up against your C'Thun priest deck using your pally control deck in a match and actually won. Nice job
What about 1 or 2 Cyclopian Horros instead of 1 or 2 Senjins?
New month new season TONS OF FRICKEN ZOO 2 horror's are godsends at the moment.
I didn't have some of the cards in this deck (second doomsayer and eadric). But I'm using 2x A Light In The Darkness which, I must say, gives you so much viability. I even pulled out a second Light Rag after my first one had died. And two games I have had double Tirion.
Anyways, awesome deck! Really fun to play. Key is to be patient and don't be afraid to wait a couple of turns to drop your minions.
I do question why you would remove Finley though, getting priest heal or fireblast is soooo good in this deck.
I agree, I replaced Sylvannus (was replacing eadric) and 1 MC tech for light in the darkness and its useful for getting better threats vs control match ups (entomb is FeelsBadMan) and against aggro it can give you a good tech card.
WHy took Sir Finley out?
Mb I'm wrong, but for me hes a essential card.
The warrior/priest & sometimes hunter hero abbility helped me to win a lot of games, especially vs Control decks where the game can last longer. ;)
I built a similar control paladin deck. Here are differences:
- Elise Starseeker for + Justicar Trueheart (more reliable win con, Makes tuskarr better)
-1 Mind Control Tech for + Sylvanas Windrunner OR + Sunwalker (2 MCT is too much imo. Makes tuskarr better)
- Lay on Hands for + Ragnaros the Firelord (another win con. LoH healing isnt needed. The draw isnt needed. Makes tuskarr better. Plus, its awesome to play 2 rags)
- Acidic Swamp Ooze for + The Black Knight (Lots of taunts running around. Great tempo play. Weapon destruction isnt super important anymore. Makes tuskarr better)
- Eadric the Pure for + Guardian of Kings (better threat that is non situational. Adds healing lost in other changes)
- Holy Light for + A Light in the Darkness (great, great card. Pick the right minion for the right scenario.)
Over about 10 games with your build I can tell you that it's much weaker vs. aggro. Which was the point of the OP's deck I believe.
This deck requires more cards than allowed, however Elise Starseeker is still a good win condition. Although Justicar Trueheart really does put pressure on in the late game after multiple value board clears. Acidic Swamp Ooze is still a solid 2 drop on your early turns and stops Shaman from getting bursty weapon combo's off. Remember always adjust to your meta experience, not someone else's,
this deck does not work for me 2 wins out of 10
