Hello people I'm SpaceGhost with another awesome guide (this is actually my first). I decided to write up a guide cause this one is just much fun to play. As soon as I saw Yogg, I thought "This is potentially the funnest card Hearthstone has to offer!"
What is the goal of this deck?
So you play cheap spells which are usually removal while adding to your spell count for Yogg-Saron, Hope's End. You have a few draw cards and an awesome tutor in the form of King's Elekk.
Why play hunter instead of mage like everyone else?
Mage was actually my first pick because of Cabalist's Tome and Flamewalker. It's nice yeah, but I have finished so many games without ever drawing Yogg or playing many spells to even justify playing him. Besides hunters have Elekks
So why are the Elekks so OP?
Well if you haven't noticed we only have 3 minions in the deck. You play one Elk and you have a 50/50 chance of revealing Yogg, winning the joust, and thus drawing your win condition.
Strategy:
Most of the time we're using our spells as removal, Lock and Load is usually a luxury but you can pull it off. Use your spells wisely and make it to turn 10. Play Yogg, and let the madness begin!
Card Changes:
Changed Deadly Shot for Call of the Wild
I believe the deck has enough removal, and I wanted to add some damage for the late game.
I run a very similar list, but only one King's Elekk, I want to be certain to draw Yogg (assuming the opponent doesn't hit C'Thun or similar on their reveal). I run Kill Command over Power and Explosive shots as well as a second Call of the Wild and Deadly Shot over On the Hunt.
I'm not trying to ladder with the deck, but i will say that it does have a very impressive winrate, at least moreso than I had initially thought it would. Most games I'm losing are admittedly to bad RNG from Yogg, not because I'm getting crushed before I can set up.
A very similar deck got me from 10 to 8... I think the arcane shots will help. I also had been using explorers hat to get some extra spell castings in, but i think those can go. 2x Call of the Wild to increase draw chances since the games only go 10 turns.
Crazy fun, love it! Not fussed that it's not a viable ladder climber (seems like that's all people are after these days).
Thanks!
I dunno where this is coming from but my short and respectful answer to that is this:
Try the deck out at least and you'll realize how difficult it would be to complete 25 matches and still stay at rank 26. I could provide screenshots as proof, but you might just be trolling.
Rank 8 atm, I by no means am claiming this deck hit Legend or something like that. I'm saying that this is a very fun deck that also pulls a good win rate.
