If you would like to ask me any questions directly and live or be one step ahead of the meta check out my stream at http://www.twitch.tv/sigmasrb at 6 PM CEST almost every day and follow the feeds on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/sigmasrb) or Twitter (https://twitter.com/sigmasrb) for all news! I will try to stream at this time in between 3-5 days a week where I will be playing all of my decks posted here plus some other ones.
Hey guys, Sigma here! First off, sorry for taking so long to upload a deck since the new expansion came out, I've been working on my analysis of the top 10 cards which you can find here: http://goo.gl/MakktM. The second reason is that I really wanted to playtest the decks and make sure that they are good before posting any that would more go into theorycrafting than them being an actual, working deck.
So, without further ado, I present to you my Dreamrattle Paladin, which is a mix of a dragon paladin with a pinch of old Gods, in this case, the almighty N'Zoth, the Corruptor. The deck is working similar to the N'Zoth paladin that is quite present in the meta right now, but is relying on assembling your board presence early on with minions like Faerie Dragon and Blackwing Technician, reinforcing it with strong mid game with the help of Twilight Guardian, Dragon Consort and the high impact Blackwing Corruptor, all while controlling the onslaught of big enemy minions like Flamewreathed Faceless with Aldor Peacekeepers and Keeper of Uldaman and topping it off with the strong deathrattle minions like Sylvanas Windrunner or Tirion Fordring. As nobody will expect a dragon paladin in the first place, N'Zoth will definitely come as a surprise for your opponent. (I've had warriors use both brawls before I drop N'Zoth, simply because they don't expect him).
The A Light in the Darkness always throws people off and confuses them and I see it as as potentially amazing card, as I've gotten Ragnaros, Lightlord out of it more than 5 times and also the cards like Keeper of Uldaman and Aldor Peacekeeper are seen quite commonly as the chances are 4:1 that you will get a paladin minion. 9/9 Ragnaros ftw. Here are some of the screenshots of why this deck rules:
3/6 taunt with divine shield on turn 4? Who doesn't want something like this?
C'Thun decks are as good as won. The 2/3 taunt I got from the A Light in the Darkness.
9/9 Ragnaros PogChamp

I have a lot more amazing screenshots but these are some of them. I've managed to get a lot of amazing things from the A Light in the Darkness, but I believe two copies might be too much. Just go try out the deck and steer away from the meta that is practically already formed! It's time for dragons! The Mulligan, Strategy, Card Replacements and maybe Match-ups (if the meta forms until then) will be available to you guys here pretty soon! Only thing you gotta do is to show the love!
FAQ
Would Deathwing, Dragonlord be a good fit in the deck?
I personally would say no. The reason is that the dragons are usually used for tempo plays here and for the card draw so if you have more than 2 dragons in your hand by the time Deathwing should be dying, something wrong happened. Besides that I've heard that Deathwings Deathrattle is almost never triggered, as the opponent will probably just ignore it and try to kill you. Deathwing might fit a little bit better in the dragon priest as they have the more controlish aspect to them than the paladin, and especially this one, who relies on tempo early game.
2. What are the replacements for ______?
The replacements will be included with the entire guide which will come out in a day or two. I am really sorry this is so late but I've been busy making a video for this deck and the video for a rogue that has The Ancient One played.
Finally, a big thank you to my first patron, Bearmec! If you would also want to help out by becoming a patron and getting some really amazing perks that you can use on my stream, you can do so at www.patreon.com/sigmasrb!
Cheers for checking out yet another Sigma's deck and as always, the constructive criticism and any suggestions to improve the deck are warmly accepted! See you on the stream!
Cheers,
Sigma
Let me know how it goes!
I took your advice and added +1 Lay on Hands and -1 Cairne Bloodhoof (sneaky sneaky gimme health and cards). Turns out to be pretty useful when you're getting low on cards since the only other card draw in this deck is the two Azure Drake.
I also added in +1 Deathwing, Dragonlord in place for Chillmaw, only because I don't have the card. It has synergy with N'zoth and all your dragons and its worked out pretty well for me as well.
Great deck. Lots of fun :)
Hey man, how is Deathwing, Dragonlord working out for you because I believe it doesn't fit into this deck at all as there probably won't be too many dragons in the end game in your hand for Deathwing to get proper value.
After playing over 30 games with this deck at an average WR of 73%, I would say Deathwing, Dragonlord is almost too slow for the deck. Sure it has great value with N'Zoth, the Corruptor but I've found that by the time you reach 10 mana you're already wanting to use N'Zoth for Tirion Fordring and or Sylvanas Windrunner to continue controlling the board.
While if you play Deathwing on turn 10, it feels too slow and most people will just avoid him and continue to go face unless he's an immediate threat.
Trying now to find an decent replace for Deathwing. I'm looking up to save for Chillmaw or Cairne Bloodhoof, since he's very viable in several deathrattle decks. What are your thoughts on these two? Which would you pick?
I've always had success with your decks and this one seems to be no exception so far. Even with the terrible starting hands I've gotten I'm currently over 70% win rate. I didn't have all the legendaries so I subbed:
- Ragnaros, Lightlord and Cairne Bloodhoof and added +Rend Blackhand and Lay on Hands
I'm sure that Rag would be much better than Rend but until I have the dust he will have to do. I'm certainly open to suggestions for a better replacement but with the synergy he just seems to work out pretty well as just about every deck out there has some pretty nice legendaries to smite down in one fell swoop.
Thanks as always for the great deck!
Edit: Found out that entomb doesn't count towards your deathrattle minions. Had both Tirion and Sylvanas entombed by control priest. So add control priest to the unfavorable matchups. Also add anything aggro...Lost to hunter, shaman, pirate warrior as well.
I am really happy you find my decks suitable for your gameplay! I made some changes so I am not running Cairne anymore, and even now N'Zoth gets pretty good value. Entomb can be tricky yeah, you just gotta try to lure it out early on.
I checked the revisions you made and I actually had already added Brann Bronzebeard and Equality when testing out how to deal with getting behind on board. I think the changes have helped me out and it's awesome we were thinking the same thing there.
I believe a second Light is a bit too much, I changed the decklist now, this should run much smoother :)
I do not have [card]Cairne Bloodhoof[/card], so have replaced it with Scaled Nightmare -- Your thoughts?
It should cover it! I tried out the Scaled Nightmare and didn't find it good enough but if it helps you synergize and you aren't lacking a heal or card draw, then use it over Lay on Hands. :)
So far, am having some success (considering I am a novice player). So, "My Thanks, To you" :D
I do find, I am struggling against very aggressive decks. But, I assume that is my lack of skill ;)
I wanted to make a deck with N'Zoth, the Corruptor and Chillmaw. Respawning a taunt can be really powerful, but there aren't many good deathrattle taunts in standard (aside from tirion). I never mananged to create a good deck though, but this looks promising!
I had that idea too. Started off without anything else except Chillmaw, and with time I realized that I can maybe throw in Sylvanas Windrunner, because why the hell not, she's OP right now. Cairne Bloodhoof might be a bit of an overkill on the control part, but works pretty good when I drop the bass (Bass being N'Zoth, of course).
Currently running sth very similiar. I will try your version right now - it looks way more structured thatn mine. I'll let ya know how it worked. Thanks already!
Greetings, fellow dragon enthusiast! Show me your list as well, I can try it :)
Nice! Had a couple of games with your deck by now and it works pretty good :)
