Hello, my name is ManThighs and I'm a Canadian HS player. My history of playing card games goes back to when I played Pokemon about 10 years ago. I soon took up MTG and played in Fireside Gatherings, Placed 8th in Grand Prix Seattle, and 5th in LA Invitational. As much as I loved playing MTG and Pokemon I've gona broke and can' t afford to buy anymore cards so I turned to Hearthstone.
Building decks that aren't supposed to be in the "meta" is a lot of fun for me, and I love trying out new decks and ideas. When Spreading Madness was released I thought of the idea of using it with Grim Patron in a deck. A Handlock style deck seemed to hard to survive the current meta, and decks using cards like Forbidden Ritual and Hogger, Doom of Elwynn seemed to...kinky. So I came up with a beautiful Midrange deck.... PatronLock!!

sometimes you can do some sick opener with the eggs but sometimes the deck have a difficult time poping new patrons on the go without relying on the Spreading Madness combo or some other intrincate combination of cards.
Since we're playing with warlock I feel that the cardraw given by Acolyte of Pain isn't needed at all. In fact, the tempo loss of the acolyte can sometimes be a complete nightmare. Because of that I replaced the acolyte with earthring farseer which stats are good and its heal helps to mitigate enemy agression and the usage of our heropower.
Also there is a card that I think that fits perfectly with our deck: the Elven Archer. Yes it may not be the best card in existence but in this deck it synergizes pretty well and also the token and the ping sometimes do wonders.
I gave this deck a try. Sadly, it is really hard to win even a single match with this deck, I even lose against an opponent that went offline for like 3 turns...
Really fun deck.
Maybe a little overkill with the draw engine; I'm gonna try switching one Acolyte of Pain for a utility card like Crazed Alchemist or Sea Giant, maybe even a finisher like Leeroy Jenkins could work.
Also subbed Spellbreaker for a second Defender of Argus.
Lol the draw is pretty insane! Most games I end up in fatigue a good 10-15 cards ahead of my opponent. I haven't played enough with this deck (Pushing to Rank 5) to really know what to take out and what to put in but your substitions seem fine. Next season I'll be sure to spend some time laddering with this deck and I'll keep my wr recorded. I'll also actually finish the description because my knowledge of matchups and card substitutions will have greatly improved. Thanks for trying out the deck and if you ever make any video or write a review on it please let me know. Your help is greatly appreciated!! - ManThighs
Writing the How to Play guide right now. Just thought I would post the first part of the description so I could give you somethig.
I like the idea of the deck, it seems fun and solid enough to be played a couple of times. Hope to see an in-depth guide soon though, I don't have Gormok or many of the new cards so I wonder what could I put in exchange of him
please write basic guide, deck list is pointless without a how-to-play guide
im not a fan of how much of a whore this decklist is for upvotes
I made the upvote goals section so I wouldn't spend needless time writing a big description for a deck that wouldn't even get looked at.
P.S. (Sorry for not meeting the upvote goals. I'll be sure to write it this weekend as I am busy writing a Thesis and I'm sick with Nemonia)
Hopefully you get well soon,i stopped by here to take a look at this deck and just seen your comment.
what rank are you playing at with this deck?
I'm above your rank and I would never write a guide on here don't please don't. You're not a legend player even if you do hit legend once in your life don't. I know people who manage to land on legend every season and still don't consider themselves good.
I had a look at this deck and this seems like something I'd play in casuals or just not play at all. Please don't make new players waste their dust on a pack they probably won't even hit rank 15 on.
