Hey guys! I was at it again with a rogue decklist and I created this reno deck that has been working wonders for my ladder experience this month so far!
General Mulligan:
Always keep v1- Reno Jackson because the deck is centered around this strong heal, Preparation + Sprint when you have them both together. Card advantage card advantage card advantage.
Always keep v2- C'thun early game cards. If you have a good curve of cards: Beckoner of Evil, Disciple of C'Thun, Twilight Elder and C'Thun's Chosen.
Against aggro / Zoo- you want to keep primarily Backstab, Doomsayer, Eviscerate, Sap (keep for shaman 7/7, Frothing Berserker, Darkshire Councilman), SI:7 Agent (if you have coin or Backstab), Perdition's Blade
Against Control- You want to play a late midrange style against most control decks. This is accomplished by having sufficient early game drops (Undercity Huckster, and your C'thun buffing cards). The goal is to play a value game in the early game and go face in the late game (while taking good trades in the meantime)
Against weapon classes - Acidic Swamp Ooze, Tomb Pillager with the coin (only paladins can deal 4 damage with a weapon)
You want to control the board and out value your opponent.
Replacements:
Sir Finley Mrrgglton - Shadowstep.. with this replacement you lose a little bit of control / card advantage.
With the shadow step version, I have actually played 4 renos in one game before. Reno one turn, brann and shadowcaster the reno the next turn, and have the shadowstep for another reno after that one.
Ragnaros the Firelord - Baron Geddon or Sylvanas Windrunner. If you're on a budget, try a Sunwalker, Sen'jin Shieldmasta, or Assassinate.
Harrison Jones - I would say this card is near irreplaceable with our weapon meta. But if you don't own - replace with any of the cards listed above.
Twin Emperor Vek'lor - lol no
This deck is a lot of fun and I've been stomping aggro- but against control you need to predict your opponent pretty hard and draw them into fatigue, unless you have a midrange style opener and just zerg them down.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the deck!
Looks like a fun list and I'm mos def gonna try it out, but a Reno Rogue w/o Shadowstep makes no sense to me. I don't have EVC, so that's what I'm going to replace it with.
I never thought Reno would be viable in Rogue due to the lack of reliable board clears, but what a fun deck to use!
>opponent plays Forbidden Ritual
>Dark Iron Skulker clears the opponent board
>opponent plays Forbidden Ritual again
>Shadowcaster on Dark Iron Skulker
>Concede
>11/10
That's how these decklist postings work. Of course no one could actually get an 80% winrate over time with any deck, but people get lucky and go on a streak then quickly post something like this.
I have to admit, I LOVE playing with this deck. And i still haven't lost with it. Even though I have played like 10 games with it, but it is just SO FUN. Upvoted.
A little bit sceptic about this. Reno Rogues tend to struggle with removal, unlike mage you can't just put 1x of every removal and get away with it.
it's great vs zoo. perdition's isn't bad. you'll understand
I still don't understand why people keep posting decks with things in the title like "80% win rate" then don't even post their record. If you are going to lie about the statistics of your win rate to get upvotes, then you defeat the purpose of posting as it devalues your opinion in many ways. To be honest, 80 percent might be possible with this deck at rank 20-15, but i highly doubt that anyone could pull that off with a decent sample size below that.
Didn't even have time to look at the guide.. But this is one of the most fluid decks I've ever played with... 9/10 very enjoyable
I've ran into this a few times, but you should always aim to keep a prep in your opening hand- so that if you draw the sprint early you have extra options. Most games are fine with the amount of draw the deck has considering Harrison hits 80% of the meta decks.
So this is a nice copy of http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/564878-wog-amazs-rogue-cthun-reno with 1-2 card changes ? :)
Most decks with Reno especially are similar. The few changes can be the sole purpose of winning more games. I still prefer my version over that one. Do you know how many miracle and aggro decks on here are exactly the same?
I don't think so, because it's mostly aggro. And with Finley being a pretty key card in the deck, you don't run deadly poison. The predictions is to compensate for no dagger hero power
which ranks did you advance with this deck?
I started the season at rank 17 with 1 star, but I got to rank 8 in a few hours with the deck. I haven't played the deck in a few days but there are still plenty of aggro shaman, hunter, and tempo warrior going around
When you get into counting stars at rank 17, that's when you know things are weak as sh*t.
No offense, and I do appreciate your effort (but not boasting with those stats in deck title).
Cunts who "do not post guides without upvotes" suck dicks
then upvote it and maybe it'll be yours.
Best response to troll ever! I am going to upvote this deck just because of that.
