WARNING: Extremely FUN
Hello Cashmoe here the maker of Alchemist Shaman, I'm back with a new fun shaman deck. As the new season started I was searching for a new concept to build shaman around. Last season it was Crazed Alchemist, this season as i was browsing the collection. One card really caught my eye Rumbling Elemental. So i started the deck building, initially just revolved around Battle-cries, i realised 2 things:
1. A lack of consistency, for rumbling elemental to work you need a lot of battlecries any turn its on the board and you aren't playing a battlecry minion Rumbling Elemental's value drops.
2. Battlecries are often situational
These 2 problems really inhibited the deck to work consistently. Then came C'Thun, where every minion had a battlecry. The implementation of C'thun really made the deck more consistent, and It became a deck that was worthy of the climb and helped me get to rank 5.
Mulligan:
Without coin: Beckoner of Evil, Totem Golem, Tunnel Trogg
With coin: Beckoner of Evil, Totem Golem, Disciple of C'thun, Tuskar Totemic
Card Explanation:
2x Lightning Bolt, this deck is much slower than other shamans. So it can't afford to take damage with rockbiter. Besides this it also allows further synergies with Azure Drake and Tunnel Trogg. It can also let you bypass taunts, so you can hit the Flame Imp bypassing Voidwalker
Potential replacements: 2x Rockbiter Weapon
2x Master of Evolution, This and twin emperor is the evolve dream, it can fetch you some amazing 8 mana minions.
Note: Master of Evolution on Rumbling C'thun does not trigger the 2 random damage. Master of Evolution on Brann Bronzebeard procs twice so turns it into a 5 mana minion.
Potential replacements: 2x Draenei Totemcarver or 2x Flamewreathed Faceless
2x Rumbling Elemental, the shining star of the deck. This card has its mass of pros and cons.
Pros:
- It can help you control the board
- It can help you snowball the game
- Baits out removal
Cons:
- It gets hit by Stampeding Kodo
- Damage is random
- 2 Damage can be quite ineffective in a lot of scenarios in the current meta.
Some fun facts: The battle cry doesn't need to activate for this card's effect to trigger. E.g. Harrison when opponent has no weapon will still let you do 2 damage.
Potential card replacement: 2x Draenei Totemcarver or 2x Flamewreathed Faceless
Fun deck at times but I do not believe you took it to rank 5, nor do I see a capability to get it to rank 5.
can ala akir be added to this deck
Can be nice and fun, although as you said Stampeding Kodos are annoying but also Cabal Shadow Priests. In the current meta it's really hard to go against aggros with this deck (Rumbling Elemental is cool but very slow to put on the board). Plus you have to count on good card draws.
Glad you enjoy it, it definitely is a very enjoyable deck to play.
