Hey there everyone and welcome!

Don't forget to +1 if you enjoyed the guide/decklist. A lot of time and effort went into these and it's a free and easy way to say thank you.

A Little About Me

I am a 17x Legend Player with 2x Top 100 finishes who goes by the battletag WingsOfWax or WingsOfWaxIII on other social media (FacebookTwitter, Tumblr, Twitch, and YouTube). I have over 15+ Years of Magic: The Gathering Experience, but as of the release of Hearthstone: Beta been converted to this new and exciting card game.

Over the past year, I have been creating videos, articles, and casting live streams to help educate newer players about Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. As of right now, I am mostly known in the Hearthpwn.com community for creating a Naxxramas + 2,000 Dust Budget Guide 11 Deck series as well as putting Burst Rogue back into fruition.

These days I am working full time, go to school, and still create Hearthstone content whenever I find my schedule allows it. I love educating all types of players whether new or veterans about becoming a better strategy card gamer. I am creating this guide (and others) to help educate and grow the Hearthstone Community even further.

Introduction to my YouTube Channel:

Some perks of playing this deck are:

-Has a solid plan versus Aggro decks with Life Gain, Board Clears, and Minions to trade with.

-Has a plan versus Control decks with Thoughtsteal, Entombs, and C'Thun.

-Can stabilize the board and your life total reasonably well.

-Get to cast a bomb minion (C'Thun) that wins the game (most of the time) on the spot.

Card Choices:

2x Circle of Healing - Enables a combo with Auchenai Soulpriest, Injured Blademaster, and Northshire Cleric depending on what matchup or what point in the game you are in. Auchenai Soulpriest + Circle of Healing is the strongest board clear this deck has, so try to be wise with it.

2x Power Word: Shield - A great support card that can allow you to get extra value from a minion. Versus Aggro decks, you can get away with keeping one Power in your hand if you have a 1 or 2 mana minion.

2x Northshire Cleric - Either used contest early weak minions, or saved until later for card advantage. Northshire is one of the only ways to draw cards in the deck, so it is wise to hold onto her until you can draw a card or two at the very least.

2x Shadow Word: Pain - Best early removal spell offered. Can kill Tunnel Trogg, Totem Golem, Violet Teacher, Bloodhoof Brave and many more minions at a low mana cost.

2x Beckoner of Evil - Early minion to help combat aggressive decks. Helps your late game plan of C'Thun and Darkmender.

1x Shadow Word: Death - We need an answer to an early Flamewreathed Faceless to stabilize. When drawn late, can help kill a bomb minion and give you some extra mana to reclaim a board presence.

1x Thoughtsteal - A great late game card to generate some card advantage. Versus control decks, can occasionally steal a bomb minion to threaten your opponent. I wish there was room for a 2nd copy, but at least we can fit 1 in the deck since 2 gets clunky against Aggro decks.

2x Disciple of C'Thun - A great combination of removal and minion to help combat aggressive matchups. Also supports C'Thun for your late game plan.

2x Injured Blademaster - The best 3-drop Priest has to offer at the moment. Combos with Circle of Healing and the Priest Hero Power. Typically you want to Circle + Injured versus control matchups and Druids.

2x Auchenai Soulpriest - Arguably the strongest card in the deck. Turns your Hero Power into an Upgraded Mage Hero Power. Turns Circle of Healing into a board clear that is powerful enough to take out Gadgetzan Auctioneer who has been Concealed. Try not to play Auchenai without getting value from Hero Power or Circle. A lot of players just cast Auchenai on t4 without value, but this is most times wrong. Try to get value out of BOTH Auchenai Soulpriests.

2x C'Thun's Chosen - A solid minion that trades well with 3, 4, and 5 drops. Buffs your C'Thun and is because of the Divine Shield is hard to kill. Chosen is your ideal turn 4 play.

2x Hooded Acolyte - Solid stats on a 4 drop minion. Combos with Circle of Healing well, but not your ideal use for Circle, just a bonus if you have Injured or Northshire.

2x Excavated Evil - The best board clear Priest decks can play in a single card. Dealing 3 damage kills a lot more versus Shamans especially, but also versus a lot of other classes (example: Rogue and Mage). Yes, it kills your C'Thun minions, but honestly you don't really care about your minions since C'Thun is your end all game plan. Try to remember your opponent can draw Evil and at least think about it when you play a board of minions.

1x Darkshire Alchemist - We wanted another way to Heal in a large chunk and Darkshire felt like the best fit. It's a solid Chillwind Yeti body with the ability to turn into a removal spell with Auchenai on the board. Darkmender is a better life stabilizer, which is why there is only 1 Darkshire.

2x Twilight Darkmender - A solid reason to play a control C'Thun Priest deck since Darkmender heals for a huge amount of life. Has a solid body to contest mid game minions well.

2x Entomb - Best removal versus control decks. Removes a large/bomb minion and lets it become a part of your arsenal. Try to save Entomb for minions like Sylvannas, Ysera, Gromosh, and anything above 7 mana that you can't deal with easily.

1x C'Thun - The almighty bomb in the deck to end the game either on the spot or soon after. Make sure you are either getting a bit of value from clearing minions or killing your opponent when you cast C'Thun.

Possible Upgrades/Downgrades:

Upgrades -

-1 Darkshire Alchemist
+1 Twin Emperor Vek'lor

-1 Thoughtsteal
+1 Cabal Shadow Priest

-1 Hooded Acolyte
+1 Elise Starseeker

-1 Hooded Acolyte
+1 Harrison Jones

Downgrades -

-2 Injured Blademaster
+2 Twilight Elder

Honorable Mentions:

Brann Bronzebeard - Brann could get a lot of value in theory, but since healing is not the same as Armor I don't see a need for Brann. Majority of the time I'd just rather be casting any of the other 3 mana minions and pressuring/removing my opponent's minions. Stat wise, Brann is not all that impressive, but if you would still like to play Brann I'd cut an Injured Blademaster.

Holy Nova - Dealing 2 is a lot different than 3 in this current meta. Holy Nova is great against Zoolocks, but does not do enough work against Shamans with Feral Spirits, Tunnel Trogg, Flametongue Totem, and Mana Tide Totem.

Justicar Trueheart - I really want Justicar in this list, but in all honesty I don't think she fits. You would either have to cut one of the following: Shadow Word: Death, Cabal Shadow Priest, or Harrison Jones. If you are facing more Control, you could try cutting a Beckoner. Seeing as Aggro is still very much prominent, I don't think there is room.

Basic Mulligan/Opening Hand Guide:

Understanding the Mulligan Guide - The number represents how many of that card I'm willing to keep in my opening hand. If there is no number, that means there is only one copy of the card and I'm willing to keep it in my opening hand. The number with the coin means how many copies I'm willing to keep with coin in my hand.

How to play the deck and Tips:

Control the board as much as you can with minions. You can afford to take some damage, but keeping your lifeloss to a minimum is important. Save your Excavated Evils for at least 2-3 cards worth of value. Auchenai + Circle is worth at least 3+ minions, however exceptions are made for Concealed Auctioneer.

If you are looking for a deck that maximizes your time and is competitive, this is the right deck for you. The deck is also Budget Friendly and can be altered slightly depending on what your collection looks like.

I will do my best to answer each question in the comments about swapping cards, but ultimately use your best judgement when deciding what you can substitute and what you cannot.

Here's to hoping this deck/guide is in some way beneficial to your Grinding Experience! The deck has performed extremely well for me and won games I thought were not possible to do so.

If your looking for a deck to get you out of the lower Ranks, this one will surely do the trick when piloted reasonably well.
