Multiple strong ways to not only stall out but also win the game. No longer is mill rogue incredibly weak to aggressive decks as you have a very strong alternate win condition in N'Zoth the Corruptor. By playing a solid curve of powerful deathrattle minions we are capable of buying lots of time against aggro while also setting up a massive late-game defensive play. Against decks like Secret Paladin and Zoo it is very often correct to use your coldlights as late as possible only playing them if you desperately need to fish for options as your main win condition is going to be N'Zoth. By playing and immediately shadowstepping N'Zoth we can effectively checkmate a large amount of aggro decks by setting up a gargantuan wall of taunt minions that they will never be able to break through in time.
Against control if our coldlights are buried deep enough we can even use N'Zoth as a powerful win condition against super slow decks as N'Zoth -> Shadowstep -> N'Zoth + Gang Up on N'Zoth will usually be enough to beat the greediest of control decks as they will be incapable of removing the great wall of taunts we're capable of producing over and over again.
Cool deck, I play something similar. Just curious, what about Dancing Swords? In my experience, they're a great early drop and really devastating to bring back with N'Zoth in the late game.
Dancing swords is a terrible card, I would never play it outside of Arena. It doesn't really help you stabilize and the goal isn't to actively draw our opponent cards, it's to combo multiple coldlight effects on single turns to dig for removal / healing and to burst our opponent down once the decks are low enough.
Haven't played Wild since the switch. Bout to jump in at rank 25 with this!
I just started playing wild yesterday with a modification of this deck and went from 25 to 16 without losing a single game. The first ones I lost was the one game I did not draw a single oracle. Not that it is a huge achievement or anything, but the deck works fairly well on wild even for an inexperienced player with Mill Rogue like me.
Dope name homie
Xaril sub? Sylvanis, Cairne, or something else?
shadowstrike is an okay sub.
I actually went with a shadow caster. Seems ok.
I think one Assasinate or BGH can help vs CThun decks
no one plays cthun in wild.
K, for Dr.Boom then
That new card 7 mana 4/6 taunt draw a beast a murloc and a dragon pretty good in this deck, you put Mukla, Coldlight Oracle and Azure drake for some draw/ combo with backstab :)
A ton of fun, N'zoth + Belcher + Deathlord made this viable.
so....what rank did you reach using this?
Having fun with it so far but not winning consistently enough sadly
I hit top 50 legend. It's really hard to play though so don't expect much unless you play it a lot and get to fully grasp the comboes.
