How does this deck work?

The idea behind this deck is to use the c'thun minions and paladins many ways of answering the board to go into the lategame where you have too many threats for your opponent to deal with

Card choices

Forbidden Healing:  You will find yourself in situations where you have board control while you are on low health, this card wins you the game in those situations

Equality: A must have in order to clear your opponents board

Ooze: In the current meta where you see a lot of warriors, hunters and shamans, ooze is really handy to have

Beckoner of Evil, Disciple of C'thun, Twilight Elder, C'thun's Chosen: The C'thun set that helps you through the early game while also building up c'thun

Bloodmage Thalnos: Can be replaced with loot hoarder, the reason I play thalnos is because shaman often has 3 health minions. So you combining consecration with thalnos can be a good play. also played for the card draw and for N'Zoth

Doomsayer: Can be used on turn 2-3, but usually you use this card when both sides are on the board forcing your opponent to either go face and give you the board, or trade inefficiently

Wild Pyromancer: Used with equality to clear the board, also nice if you need it to curve out early on

Aldor Peacekeeper, Keeper of Uldaman: Used to make big threats not so scary

Brann Bronzebeard:  Has synergy with the c'thun cards, don't feel afraid to drop it early when you have board since it will usually get rid of some removal from your opponents hand

Mind Control Tech: Great vs hunter, zoo and shaman since you often find them having 4+ minions on the board

Truesilver Champion: Great to remove some mid game threats

Consecration:  S good boar clear

Solemn Vigil:  Replaceable, but often used to search for the answers you need at that moment. you often wont get to draw cards for low mana but it's still a handy card

Psych-o-Tron: Replaceable, a good taunt that often comes in handy and it helps you with a turn 5 play

Stampeding Kodo: Combos with Aldor. There are many good cards that kodo can kill so it's handy to have

Cairne Bloodhoof: Works with N'Zoth. A threat your opponent often can't completely remove, so it often trades quite decently

baron geddon: a board clear that also forces your opponent to quickly try and get rid of it, usually buying you enough time to take back the board and win the game

Reno Jackson: A great heal combined with a decent body

Sylvanas: Works with N'Zoth

Vek'lor: Really handy taunts that are often annoying to clear for your opponent

Ragnaros the Firelord: A good threat that often works because your opponent will often not be able to answer

Ragnaros, Lightlord: Can be used in an emergency to heal your face while also putting a good body on the board, however this card really shines when you are on full health and it keeps on healing itself after you trade

Tirion: Works with N'Zoth. Also a great taunt with a great ability

C'thun & N'Zoth: Both cards your opponent will be wary of, often your opponent will use almost all his cards to deal with one of these and after that lose to the other. In more faster games it's good to have both since it's way less likely that both cards are in the bottom X cards

Mulligans

Quite easy. Just look to curve out early on while keeping reno / board clear cards such as equality when you find yourself vs a possible aggro opponent

Matchups

Warlock:

Zoo: Unfavorable,

You got early game minions and a lot of board clears so you got quite a decent chance, but if either you don't got one of your heals or none of the board clear cards you will often find yourself losing. The biggest problem is that you're often dead just before you can actually start answering everything

Reno: 50/50

Be wary with your big minions. Try to have a play ready for if your opponent plays Sylvanas (maybe even combined with Shadowflame). do not feel afraid to heal early on with reno since you need to stay out of their combo range

Shaman: 50/50

This matchup is usually a match of whether the shaman can spam the board more or whether the paladin has the answers he needs to get the board. If you got only one real board clear, try not to use it until you need it

Hunter: Favorable,

The hunter often will find that he will not be able to take board control, and even more important that if you play well, you will almost always be able to put yourself in a favorable position after the hunter plays COTW

Warrior:

Pirate: Good

There is enough healing in this deck to put yourself outside of the pirate warriors lethal range. Be wary of putting the warrior at 12 or less Hp since 6 dmg mortal strikes is usually the only way the pirate warrior wins

Tempo: Favorable

I don't got much to say about this matchup, your answers will often be able to deal with their board and they often can't push for lethal fast enough before you start healing a lot

C'thun / control: Good

This game almost never goes to fatigue, their armor will not be able to stand up to your many threats. Just try not to play too much into their brawls and you are fine

I can't tell much about the other matchups since i didn't play against them often enough

Other

Replacement cards:

Huge toad: If you need extra early game

Crazed worshiper: If you find that you need the extra c'thun buff you can swap psych o tron with this card

Abomination: If you think you need even more board clear, this card helps

Earthen Ring Farseer: If you think you need some early game heal

Eadric: Might be a handy "i'm desperate" card to play to help you stall an extra turn or two, but usually you should only add him if you don't got some of the legendaries that are in this deck

Corrupted Seer: if you either don't own baron geddon, or you think he comes too late / you can't handle the dmg he deals to your face, then you can replace him with corrupted seer

Do not add:

Elise: You already got enough win conditions to win the game, you will never find yourself needing to replace your hand with legendaries

Doomcaller: C'thun is not your sole win condition, you got enough threats and even N'Zoth to help finish the game
