I took out the deathwing as it was only there as a wild card, and this deck desperately needs more 1's or I'm more often then not going to loose off not being able to draw a decent enough hand to get shit out on the board.
really could do with some help on making this deck more "curvy" thanks.
EDIT: after trying this out as my first Deck for ranked, I climbed to rank 15 today with only 2 losses out of 16 games, I couldn't be happier with what this deck is giving me, I was beating players with far higher cards in their decks than me. I guess it just goes to show that a well prepared deck with synergy pretty much plays itself.
EDIT: I just want to add that this is not a deck you should be copying, this was the first deck I ever made and I only keep it here for that purpose, the deck is not bad, but there is just simply way better out there right now... the only mage worth really even playing is freeze mage and that is really awkward to play. if you want my advice, leave mage alone for now and play mid hunter or something.
if you did want to make a working version of this deck though, adding flamewakers, a forbidden torch and brann bronzebeard will make it a lot more viable!
Yeah dude, I just don't have those cards yet. Only been playing for a couple of days now! I'm gonna drop some coin on cards when I get paid next week though so I can make the improvements needed to get me further in the ranks.
I may drop one summoner for the Twins and Arcane blast will replace one of the spells at the lower end probably.
I must say though I've been doing good with this deck and the synergies are great as it is, if I don't draw well on C'thun stuff I will draw well on sort of tempo/spells and just by prioritising board dominance I tend to win. Like trump says, it's matter of board control, not hitting the face, you gotta know when it's time to hit the face and not. Still learning though quite obviously as this is like day 3 for me.
thank you for the suggestions anyway... any other suggestions you might think of? I like making my own alternations to a deck so it's not going to be a carbon copy that people will have counters for.... I am a total newbie at this though so all the help I can get I will gladly accept.
did a tavern brawl last night, took about 45 mins. I had the guy down to 1 health and then all of our health was reset to 30 and he gained the upper hand for a while by attacking the face, but I proved that board dominance trumps face and won the battle of attrition.
this was the first deck I ever made... looking back I'm surprised how well I did on my first attempt at ladder with home brew deck of this nature.
