So this is a deck I've been playing around with for a few days now.
I made some changes to other similar decks, and I've found it works REALLY well in the current meta; beating aggro decks, control warrior etc.
Video of the decklist and five games:
Specific card analysis
Arcane Blast could be switched out but I really like this for the current aggro decks all over the ladder, as well as being awesome with Archmage Antonidas
Elise Starseeker can also be switched out but imo she's great when against Control Warrior/Priest/Druid in the late game when you don't want anymore card draw and just need big minions. Just don't play the monkey before Reno!
Violet Teacher I added this in because you have SO many spells and, as mentioned, aggro is very prevalent on the ladder right now.. It's also one of those minions that people seem to want to remove asap; burning their big removal spells, instead of leaving them for your bigger cards
Harrison Jones could be switched out for something like Sylv but with the amount of Warriors, Shamans and occasional Rogues and Pallys on the ladder it's so powerful, especially considering you have an Acidic Swamp Ooze too
Baron Geddon another card you could switch out for Sylv, but Baron has been SO useful for me for dealing with the aggro decks and putting the pressure on
Alexstrasza great card, another way to keep your health up, or a very effective way of getting that Warrior with 20 armor down to low hp. Could switch out
Cards I want to put in but am not sure what to cut!
Sylvanas Windrunner ...nuff said
Let me know what you think!
Keeping Reno on Muligans is important for sure, but having Ice Block, Nova, Doomsayer and Blizzard is always great for stalling
deck seems pretty good) i made a few changes and now trying to hit rank 5. for now its around 0-5, but i still have a faith in this deck)
Cheers mate! Let me know how you do and if you make any subs
With so many Warriors and Shamans on the ladder I do like the Harrison, but certainly agree that Sylv is a great sub for him!
Hello Reqnr,
Thank you for posting the deck I am really enjoying playing this deck. I did replace Forbidden Flame with Cabalist's Tomb because I do not have one. I also switched out Kodo for Sylvanas and Violet Teacher for Twilight Drake. I am enjoying playing this deck but I can't seem to get pass rank 15. Do you have any tips? what should I look for in a mulligan?
Sorry for the wait Juventus, I hadn't checked Hearthpwn in a while!
Mulligans are basically dependent on the class you're playing against, but always keep a Reno in hand I'd say, as well as your card draw. Also when against Shaman, Warlock or Paladin you can asume that they are running aggro decks, so keep your 2-3 drops, and if against warrior or rogue always keep that Harrison in hand too!
Cheers Throsh!
I did consider Tome, but I kinda felt it was a little too slow, as you mentioned, as well as the fact that I wanted more minions instead of spells. I can imagine it being pretty awesome at some points though, def a possibility for the future.
I'm actually just trying out replacing Water Ele for Summoning Stone, will let you know how it goes :)
They weren't very good!! Don't use it ;)
