Currently climbing at 500 to around 1000 in legend rank with this deck!

Hi guys! This post got a couple upvotes so i am deciding to make a full review of the deck. Recently there has been a quite a good number of Dragon Warriors and Midrange Shamans on ladder as well as Control decks such as Cthun Warrior. This deck was made to counter these decks. The problems i have faced when playing Tempo Mage against these decks was that i was always in topdeck mode against their topdeck mode and i HATED having that style of play. This deck is about cycling a lot and beating those decks in those topdeck wars.

Strategy

Against Control or Midrange: Just cycle alot and outvalue them with your late game while drawing your early game. Often people use thier hard removal such as Hex or Execute on Azure drakes and they are stunned when they see a antondias after rag since they used one of thier hard removal on a Azure drake.

Against Aggro: Play defensively while protecting your minions behind mirror images to gain another turn of removal with Sorcerer's Apprentice or Flamewaker. Stall out until Flamestrike, this is when you typically win the game.

Card Choices

I have some unusual card choices in this deck that the typical Tempo Mage does not run which catches many people off guard, I caught Brian Kibler off guard with a lot of my late game ( https://www.twitch.tv/bmkibler/v/78731041 @ 1:57:43).

2x Acolyte of Pain - to cycle as much as possible and win the top deck wars and to consistently draw threats against control warriors.

1x Archmage Antonidas - This guy has rotated out of Tempo Mage when WOTG rotated in. This card typically gets value immediately and has the threat of 'if you dont kill archmage you lose the game'.

1x Bloodmage Thalnos -  Probably my favorite card right now. Works so well with arcane blast and it typically eats the second swing of war axe if there is no ravaging ghoul while drawing you a card, otherwise in other matchups it is a second ping to a minion while drawing a card.

2x Forgotton Torch - This card is insane. It can give you ridiculous burst in the late game with the 3 mana fireball, but also use it to remove early game minions while it is 3 damage. really good with spell damage since everything has four health it seems these days. Not a problem to not draw the fireball version since you cycle a lot with this deck.

Mulligan

You always want to keep Mana Wyrm, Sorcerer's Apprentice, Cult Sorcerer, Mirror Image, Frostbolt or Arcane Blast.

With Coin: Bloodmage Thalnos, Flamewaker, Forgotten Torch (with good hand).

Against Warriors: It seems like warriors are everywhere and Fiery Win Axe is the bane of my existance. Mulligan hard for mirror images and early game rather than removal, but keep frostbolt. Also keep Acolyte of Pain or Bloodmage Thalnos against warriors to eat their weapon up.

Winrates

Midrange/Hybrid Hunter: 66.67% winrate in 12 games.

Miracle Rogue: 100% winrate in 3 games.

Aggro Shaman: 42% winrate in 19 games.

Midrange Shaman: 60% winrate in 10 games.

Zoolock: 55% winrate in 23 games.

Renolock: 80% winrate in 10 games.

Freeze Mage: 100% winrate in 2 games.

All Warriors: 70% winrate in 46 games. Probably a little lower for dragon warrior i estimate like 60% or 55% while for aggro pirate warrior somewhere at like 40%.

Aggro Paladin: 60% winrate in 5 games.

Yogg Druid: 55% winrate in 9 games, typically it should be higher than this.

Control Priest: 100% winrate in 2 games.

Ask any questions below and i will try to answer them, Happy Climbing!
