I love to interact and respond to comments, and if you leave one I'll check out one of your decks returning the favor.
Although unrefined, this deck has some AWESOME combos and is a blast to play while remaining effective in higher level ranked play.
The deck curves into its own combo's and synergies and that's what makes it so fun to play. Example: Turn 2 Ancient Watcher Turn 3Void Terror Turn 4 Faceless Shambler
Silence is a card effect that has fallen out of style due to high mana prices, but in this deck it is mostly used on your own minions to devastating effect, and you'll very often leave your opponent wishing they had run it as well.
Ancient Watchers are so much fun in this deck.
Let me know what you think.
Card Guide:
Deck Staples:
Void Terror: lynchpin of the deck, steal the stats of ancient watcher always on turn three, and also can be used to steal stats of eerie statue
Faceless Shambler: big key combo for the deck is to steal the stats of eerie statue and
Faceless Manipulator: big key combo for the deck is to steal the stats ofEerie Statue andAncient Watcher
Ancient Watcher: primary combo card in the deck…always keep it in the mulligan, and don’t be afraid to kill it with shadowflame if your opponent starts aggressively
Eerie Statue: key combo card, plays well withVoid Terror
Shadowflame: board clearing mechanism, very good card to combo with power overwhelming, abusive sergeant
Spellbreaker: primary combo card to silenceEerie Statue
Summoning Portal: You all asked for a comeback mechanism, so I built one in…as this deck relies on minion heavy combinations, providing a pair of summoning portals in the deck allows for a devastating combination past turn 7….Hold these in your hand UNLESS you are about to unleash a combination and have a big taunt (preferably two) in place to protect the portal…With two portals up, the cost of all of the staple cards within the deck drops to 1 mana, and if you are falling behind, on turn 8 you can unleash a flurry of cards in order to make some big taunts to try to swing the game back into your favor.
Other Cards:
Power Overwhelming: great to use before you steal stats with Void Terror:
Dark Peddler: good early game minion, allows you to draw another power overwhelming to use later without sacrificing board in the early game
Imp Gang Boss: just an effective warlock card to help against aggressive decks
Abusive Sergeant: its good to buff attack before you copy stats or use shadowflame.
Acidic Swamp Ooze: mainly a weapon tech card for help against weapon classes
Loot Hoarder: this deck relies on combos...you need to draw cards for combos...simple enough right?
Sunfury Protector: another important card that helps to make your watchers and statues useful if you can't get a silence.
Earthen Ring Farseer: with a slower deck its nice to have some healing
Cyclopian Horror: an effective wotog card that can help against aggressive decks.
Sylvanas Windrunner: great card, you can kill it yourself with void terror if you feel like it.
Ragnaros the Firelord: GREAT CARD...WORKS EVEN BETTER WHEN YOU CAN COPY IT...is even more powerful when it can hide behind big taunt minions. go figure :)
Mulligan: shoot for your watchers, void terror, and sunfury protector. Against Aggro search for your
I'll continue to work on the card guide in a bit...I've made some changes and I hope that you all like them

I've been looking at Putting in runic egg and or doomsayer...they both work quite well...Thanks so much for the patience everyone.

Haven't looked at the deck yet, but you have my upvote for your nice manners. first comment got me. Unlike many others who just hoard for likes in exchage for dickpics etc...
Having a Summoning Portal in your deck gives the oppertunety to play Harrison Jones instead of Acidic Swamp Ooze.
I want to have more cards when i demolish his weapon :-)
How about Doomsayer ?
It is useful card for both the start to slow down the enemy and for the end: it can serve good HP pool for Void Terror
it can be used with Power Overwhelming and Faceless Shambler to have 4/7 taunt if you accidentally got your board cleared or something.
I like Doomsayer far more than Gnomish Inventor because the deck has 12 4mana cards - think about the curve a bit, also I don't think that warlock needs 4 mand card draw.
And also Doomsayer can replace Acidic Swamp Ooze or even more lilkely Dark Peddler
With the deck focused on taunts, enemy weapons are not something you are afraid of. Acidic Swamp Ooze however does help to stabilize early board against warrior, Dark Peddler is something .. idn... to make look you are Zoo at the start ?
Also I'd rather rely on fixed pair of cards I know I can have rather than 1 POW, 1 Abusive, 1 Peddler, 1 Imp gang boss randomly shuffled in my deck. Unless you are going to sometimes change this to Reno-deck, but with 10 pairs of key cards, don't think so.
I think doomsayer would be a good addition from my experience with the deck. It just seems way too slow with not enough answers to fast decks as is right now. A lot of games have been me just throwing up desperation taunts in mid-game to avoid lethal because it doesn't really have a way to deal with taking 25 damage by turn 5 unless you draw shadowflame.
I feel like imp gang boss feels a little bit out of place, and could stand to be replaced by a smaller presence early...maybe flame imp, possessed villager...I'm not really sure, something that looks like zoo maybe. Great card, but by the time you can get a 1/1 or two out of it, they don't really have much impact in this deck.
Also as HeavenHs said, swamp ooze kinda feels like a waste too...although it's a cheap card that provides at least some early board presence against non-weapon classes.
Just seems like it needs a way to hold it's own a little bit more until you can really get going. With the current curve, I find myself playing catch up or playing very defensively mid-game, and I'm often 1 mana behind a great play.
That being said, the deck is a lot of fun to play!
why loot hoarder and gnomish with warlock?
Oh nice, this looks cool, I shall give it a try.
Fun deck for sure. When it goes wrong though boy does it go wrong. It's not uncommon to get a hand full of garbage and then keep that handful the rest of the game. When it works though, its usually something along the lines of a single card takes your handful of garbage and turns it into a board full of giant minions. The walls of 7 attack minions you can produce with this deck are ridiculous. I say you rename this deck The New Dr. 7 haha
except that's a standard deck
Seriously! It's like he expects us to think for ourselves!! I can't deal without some hand-holding!
I feel like this would greatly benefit from a second Faceless Shambler either dropping Darkspeaker or Faceless Manipulator. Faceless requires a target is silenced and costs 1 more mana whilst shambler doesn't have the same requirement to get the same stats.
In love with the concept!
I rarely had this much fun with a deck, and I gotta say that it was quite a blast :D So much value in these cards you can get quite ridiculous combos if you ask me !
I made a video showcasing the deck and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did ! ( RIP connection on the last game XD )
Looks beautiful... I don't have Sylvanas though, maybe I'll get lucky in packs later.
I do recommend crafting her. She is the best legendary in the classic set with the possible exception of ragnaros the firelord.
I totally get it. I'm currently saving up to get Yogg, since I believe that he's going to get even more competitive as time goes on.
However saving dust is difficult when you are also saving gold for the adventure that's probably coming out in a week.
How much longer we safe to get old gods stuff? I only came to the game last weekend so I have no idea how it works. It's like 2 month old, so does it only have 2 left?
Oh you're really new. To answer your question here is the blog post explaining set rotation.
TL;DR: The grand tournament, blackrock mountain, and League of explorers will rotate out as soon as the first set of 2017 comes out, most likely in April. Whispers of the old gods and the two other sets that come out this year will rotate out when the first set of 2018 is released.
I recommend buying mostly classic packs as a new player since classic cards are mostly stronger than ones from any set, and there are more classic cards to collect than cards in any set. You can feel comfortable buying TGT and WotOG packs if you're missing a bunch of commons, but I'd hold out on trying to get a bunch of legendaries.
Also in a day or two they are going to make an announcement of the next adventure, and the community is expecting it to be the Tower of Karazhan.
thanks. that is what I do mostly. I get bulk in classic then get like 15 old gods packs... I opened a free gold pack for beating all expert AI before and got a doomhammer and tirion in the same pack, was literally so shocked. I kind of thought to myself, "would be sick if I got a legendary here" then it happened, and apparently this guy is good as well so I'm really happy about that.
I took a photo of the pack as well as you always need proof of these things! ha ha.
How long will I have to pre-order the new one? I'd like the card back from it as I am just starting, I need to nab card backs where I can.
I have the two current expansions, but have not attempted to do heroic for the backs yet as I doubt I have good enough stuff to do those.
Placed 15 already this month as well so will have this months card back so I can at least graduate from the vanilla back.
Tirion is most likely the most cost effective legendary in the game, I didn't recommend crafting him because he's not neutral and the only decks in standard that run him right now is n'zoth paladin which is a bit too expensive for a new player, and honestly isn't my favorite deck to play.
I don't think adventures can be pre-ordered, you get a card back for it when you get better than rank 20 in the season it's released in, and another cardback for beating it on heroic. Though if you're going to spend real world money on cards adventures are definitely the most bang you can get for your buck.
Since you have both adventures my recommendation to build as far as decks go is zoo warlock
There are recommended card substitutions in the description of that deck if you click the link to go to the main page of it.
Btw, what is the Faceless Shambler for?
