Mulligan guide and strategy:
Play the deck like zoo, trade but keep going face as much as possible, drawing mind blast or spawn of shadows later will guarantee a fast victory. Don't try to react to your opponent, always trade and go face.
Always Mulligan for 1 and two drops, replace all 3 and higher drops unless you have injured master combo with circle of healing. Don't keep this combo if your other card isn't a 1 drop.
Drop injured kvaldir on turn one if you are going first, this guy can become a 2/3 or 2/4 on your next turn.
Always keep a one drop with a backup buffer like abusive sergeant or Lance carrier so you can trade with whatever the opponent drops.
If you are going against aggro (shaman, zoo, hunter) always keep light well since they can't remove it easily and it will keep healing you and your minions. Great play against them is light well with power word shield casted on it.
If you are going against the other type of decks, keep combo pieces in your hand and try to buff a minion to 4/4 or 5/5 as soon as possible and rush them down, mind blast and spawn of shadows helps so much in achieving that.
Always hide your minions behind the 0/4 taunt since it's hard to remove with one attack, that thing can trade twice when buffed or not.
Original: Hi! I have made this aggro priest deck that works like zoo because of cards like sir finely and inner fire where you get massive advantage. Here are some example screenshots of the deck in action.
VS Zoo
Thanks for giving it another try, I really appreciate it.
I think it needs more tweaking, I tried to do that but in the end it became a totally different deck (still super aggro though, I will add that deck later on hearthpwn after testing it more).
It has the same chances as zoo to win vs Cthun / control decks, its almost 50/50. I won multiple of times vs cthun warrior because they start very slowly and then they couldn't keep up since we can heal our minions as a priest, which zoo cant do.
When you play it good and have a nice curve, games end at turn 6 or 7 as you said and people in the thread tried it at ranks 10, 9 and 5 and were surprised that they were winning games with it, but I am still trying to increase the winrate using different cards, we will see.
I encourage people to experiment more and try different versions.
Nice going in play mode. But how is ranked?
People were reporting good results at rank 5 and rank 9. Mind you this is a new deck and people didn't learn all the power plays and combos.
I have updated the deck btw to make it better and faster, please try it and tell me what do you think is missing.
Why Boneguard Lieutenant? I personally feel it's too slow and its hard to get its effect off. Maybe Flame Juggler as replacement?
Personally, I feel the same with Injured Kvaldir unless you coin in Northshire Cleric and then play a Circle of Healing although I wouldn't rely on insane synergy between 1 early game combo. I'd replace it with Worgen Infiltrator cause it is protected from most damage for 1 turn and contests 2 drops against the Hunter matchup which isn't the greatest matchup for aggro decks.
In addition, since you're getting to turn 6+ a lot Leeroy Jenkins may be a good finisher to add in. Maybe replacing 1 Injured Blademaster or Argent Horserider?
Those are just my 2 cents.
Thanks for the feedback, the problem is no one tries this deck lol... try it first, I buff him to +5 on average hiding him behind the taunt or a buffed minion that the opponent will focus on.
If you drop injured kvaldir turn 1 you can heal him and now he is 2/3 if you dont have circle in hand. Then when you draw inner fire he becomes a 4/4 or better. Worgen infiltrator dies to all deal one damage hero powers and cannot be buffed / healed like Injured Kvaldir.
Hunter cannot deal with 4/4 and 5/5 minions on turn 2 or 3 or even 5 unless he uses a kill command with a beast on the field which you should be already killing at this point, you are the aggro play like it, play this deck like zoo.
Already beat a N'Zoth rogue and midrange shaman with it. I crushed the rogue and the shaman got lucky early on with a tuskarr totem golem but I still managed to pull it off. However, with both matchups I've gotten pretty lucky with an early Northshire/Circle combo.
Glad to hear man! no one wants to even try it and believe me, thanks for your comment and feedback! I will add a deck guide and all that stuff later today.
As an additional update... I went 5-1 with this deck total. Lost to an aggro pally that outvalued my board and won against a renolock and two more midrange (perhaps aggro?) shamans. I found that this deck really beats the crap out of shamans as you can keep their board perpetually clean. Mind you, I didn't have to face up against a flamewreathed in any of my three shaman matches so I was fortunate there. I'm not sure about Boneguard Lieutenant (haven't had one survive long enough) but I think all the other cards are great picks.
P.S. People will be assholes. Don't worry about it. I like the deck =) I used an OTK priest deck revolving around the Injured's to mass draw. It didn't do too well but it was a blast to play.
Awesome. A good replacement for that could be Lance Carrier, I didn't test this deck because of my work times but in the weekend I will update it and make more match results, weakness / combos ..etc
Yeah a lot of people just ignore it without even trying just one game with it, at glance you would think this deck is weak but once you play it you can end games very fast and destroy your opponent around turn 7~8 with good draws or getting the warlock hero power.
