Hi guys Zion7 here again (formerly known as MarineKingHS), this time with a slightly different spin on a not so innovative deck (C'Thun Priest). According to almost every HS statistic website, C'Thun Priest is supposed to be the WORST deck there is (that is actually recognized as meta). It is my opinion that C'Thun is not so bad, but it becomes quite bad if you don't adjust your deck to work in the current meta. I believe the reason people have had such horrible results is because they run the wrong decklist with too many bulky things going on. I have streamlined this deck to cut what we don't need and run what we DO need to win the game.
About this deck (how to play it) - The important thing to understand about this deck is, it's a true Midrange deck and NOT a control deck. If you build C'Thun Priest to be a control deck, you will not have good results. If you want to win games, you have play this deck with the mindset of a Midrange Hunter, which means you make the upward trades if needed but otherwise carefully slip in damage to the face at every possible opportunity because most of the time C'Thun's battlecry dealing lethal will be your sole win condition. If you waste time clearing tokens instead of getting in those face damage turns, you will eventually end up with your board gone and no way to finish the enemy. Again, think how a Midrange Hunter would think, they make trades but only when it's highly beneficial. Trades are bound to happen, the key is put the enemy in a position where THEY are doing to trading to get some breathing room, instead of the other way around. You need to push for the win, don't stall the game unless you must.

Good luck, godspeed and happy rank climbing!
Hi Tome, 45% win vs Warrior this season. It seems to do poorly against Warrior C'Thun and Warrior Dragon, but wins vs other Warrior variants.
why not doomcaller?
Hey there Andre, Doomcaller is way too slow for a midrange Priest deck. It's greedy reach for a late game ctrl vs ctrl matchup and only Warrior can get away with that kind of stuff because they have win axe, 1mana removals, brawls, better healing cards etc etc. Try it in a Priest deck and you'll most likely get crushed before playing Thun on turn 10, doomcaller on turn 11 and then Thun again at some later point the game. If a persons going to play that greedy, they might as well forget about Thun and go for a Zoth deck.
this deck sucks, like what the fuck are two shadow madnesses doing there?
The About this deck (how to play it) part was really insightful! You definitely changed my outlook on C'Thun Priest
Thanks lunar, yea C'Thun has to be played with a different mindset. Play it like the typical slow Priest ctrl deck and you will lose.
