Greetings traveler! Do you need help with the new heroic boss? Are you looking for a cheap and MANLY (Kappa) deck to send him to the shadow realm? Well stranger today is your lucky day! This deck right here helped me beat the Magic Mirror with one try!
If you're an old player and have unlocked the previous adventures this should be a cheap deck to make. If not, I guess you should search for another deck that fits you.
The main concept of this deck is to try and mill his deck (obv) before he burns you with his spells! Let's take a deeper look.
First of all you should try to fill his hand as soon as possible before he gets value from cards like Duplicate and Rhonin. That's why it's not a problem to add some draw cards like Acolyte of Pain and Loot Hoarder even if he steals them. Dancing Swords (except for fitting in the adventure's party theme) can help you too so why not. Also if he has a massive board but you can't deal with it, Vanish is the play (especially for the big minions so they can die if he has a full hand).
Secondly, from the very beginning you will have to face a board filled with many small minions. So we need a lot of cheep AOE damage like Tentacle of N'Zoth and Unstable Ghoul. Both of these deathrattles trigger twice (one with your minion and one with the stolen). So just throw them into play and attack him with your weapon or other AOE like Fan of Knives and Dark Iron Skulker (this one is crazy for obvious reasons).
Some standard cards like Shadow Step, Gang Up, Brann and Coldlight Oracle...That's our win condition just like in every mill rogue deck. I think you should Shadow Step your Oracles every time and in extremely rare occasions, your Zombie Chow (for extra healing).
If you have faced this boss you should know how annoying he is with his spells (Swipe AND Arcane Missiles). So you need to add some heals like Zombie Chow (you can also try Corrupted Healbot but i think its too expensive).
Backstab, Betrayal and Perdition's blade are some extra cheap removal you might need.
Last but not least, you should be aware of his secrets (Mirror Entity and Counterspell) and play around them if possible. Duplicate helps us most of the time because he just fills his hand. Try to make him Duplicate his Zombie Chow for huge value!
REPLACEMENTS!!! You can replace Betrayal for Doomsayer for a full board clear. But i think i should keep this deck budget that's why i won't add it in the decklist :p (Works perfectly tho)
Did anyone actually read all these? I hope so, i tried my best and its my first decklist here. I hope it helped! Have fun at the rest of the party ;)
The 2-nd hardest boss for mein this Adventure. Tried 40-ish times with this kind of decs. Don't have Tentacle of N'Zoth, maybe that's why it was so hard. But after I added Lorewalker Cho that become much easier. We played with 3 Cho on the filed so overload his hand was a piece of cake.
Worked great! Was able to beat him on my third try. :)
Second try. Thanks for cheap deck)
Insanely fun deck to play! Thanks! :)
I beat him in my 3rd try, previous two were a failure, because I can't count cards ;p
awesome and fun. 3rd try win. Thanks
Deck did work like a charm, didn't have the doomsayers as a f2per, found that abusing cult master also works wonders - got the mirror to draw 7 or 8 cards with cult master toward the end of the game...
Sounds really good but how did you get to activate its effect? The deck works with a lot of AOE so how did you keep it alive to get so much value?
Got to love fatigue wins! Cheers for this deck!
2nd try win, get an upvote
"Did anyone actually read all these?"
Where's the tomato? ;)
Thanks! Failed a bunch of games, probably due to bad draw, but then healed back up with Chows and in the end the mirror was on -34 hp xD
Great write up and the deck worked like a charm. Well done man! First try!
You read it? You're my hero :') xD Glad i could help :D
