Full version coming soon.

Like every other mage Reno the main point is to play Ice Block and with 1 HP on the next turn play Reno Jackson.

Meanwhile spend time clearing the board and exhausting the enemy resourses.

Updates based on experience and comments

After some testing and reading your comments I took out  [card]Prince Malchezaar[/card]. The card looked cool and was new so I wanted to try it out. But it breaks the consistency of the deck and more often than not fills up the hand with useless legendaries. It is now replaced with a Water Elemental the card is a classic mage card. And is a solid choice agains the more agro oriented decks. Plus is has the added bonus that it reminds me of water elementals from War Craft 3 :)

What can I get from Medivh

Mana Amount of Spells with that Mana Cost Amount of cards you can get Average Attack  Average HP Likelyhood  for Charge Likelyhood  for Taunt Likelyhood  for Spell Damage Likelyhood  for Deathrattle Likelyhood  for Divine Shield Likelyhood  for Battlecry
0 1 2 1.000 1.000 0.0% 0.00% 0.00% 0.0% 0.00% 0.00%

10   10 8.500 8.500 0.0% 0.00% 0.00% 10.0% 0.00% 50.00%

In this statistic the torch is counted twice. And the card from the Jeweled Scarab is considered a spell as most likely it will be. The cards from the Babbling Book[card]Ethereal Conjurer[/card] and [card]Cabalist's Tome[/card] are not included but I can add statistics to what are the most common mana costs from them as well.

[card]Firelands Portal[/card] Will summon twice if you have the staf from Medivh once a 5 mana cost minion, once a 7 mana cost one and will do 5 dmg.

My personal idea of what you can get. What top, average, and so on means is more or less open for interpretation.

Top Above Average Average Below Average Amount of Spells with that Mana Cost
0         1
1 20% 18% 33% 29% 1
2 7% 21% 25% 47% 1

Card Choices:

Medivh's Valet Prince Malchezaar they are just new and I want to try them but they look like good additions to this deck. Once again we should keep in mind that  Prince Malchezaar can create a duplicate in the deck which could lead to a problem with Reno.

Harrison Jones has replaces in this deck the classical Accolyte of Pain. My assumption is that Medivh will be played by everybody at least the first few weeks. Which could easily lead to a 3 card draw which is the best case scenarion. Shamans hunters and warriors cover up almost 50% of all decks which you are going to meet on the ladder and they all use weapons so I think value could be extracted from it.

Card Substitutions.

First I want to say that most of the Legendary cards in Hearthstone are unique. In that sence you cannot just substitute them with a simmilar card. Therefore if you do not have or do not like a card in this deck it is a better strategy to look for a card that does something you need, than to look for a card that has a simmilar effect to the removed card. Let me give you an example: Emperor Thaurissan is a unique card. You can replace it with a  Pit Fighter due to the simmilar stats, or with a Sorcerer's Apprentice due to the simmilar effect, but both of those cards are not good replacements. It would be better just to switch it for a Sylvanas Windrunner.

That being said what can be replaced:

Yogg-Saron, Hope's End This is the first card that comes to mind. The card is completely deppendent on how the player feels about it. I presonally like it as a last resort so I tend to keep it in decks I play. I you do not like it feel free to change it with anything you like. Some sugestions are Archmage Antonidas [/card], [card]Ragnaros the Firelord or Sylvanas Windrunner

Risks

Keep in mind also that with this deck it is possible (although unlikely) to play twice Ice Block &  Reno Jackson combo.

Do not forget that if you find a second Forgotten Torch form any of the discover effects in the deck and play both you can make your Reno useless.

The same situation but with a much lower chance of happening could occur if [card]Prince Malchezaar[/card] is not in the mood to cooperate.

Important: The staff of Medivh used the current cost of the spell when determining what creature should be summoned. For example if you have a Flame Lance and an Emperor for 1 turn. The flame lance now costs 4 and will summon a 4 mana cost minion. Same goes the the Sorcerers Apprentice.
