Hello everyone. Thanks for taking a look at my deck. This is a spell-heavy deck that enables you to get out the Arcane Giant cheaply.  It has Medivh, the Guardian for the extra tempo when you are able to summon creatures from Atiesh. It also has a strong mid game due to the Injured Blademaster with Resurrect and Onyx Bishop. Healing comes from the Priest of the Feast. There's plenty of removal within the deck as well.

I am truly humbled by the responses so far. Thank you to everyone who takes a look and/or comments.  If you've had any fun with my deck, then it’s a success in my book.

Now that I'm able to do a write up I wanted to get it out asap.

I consider myself a Priest player and have felt the pains of the recent months. With Karazhan's release and the success of the recent resurrect decks, I wondered if there would be a home for Medivh, the Guardian in Priest. As far as how to play this deck, shoot for board control with spells such as Shadow Word: Pain and Shadow Word: Death. Don't hesitate to use Injured Blademaster to get favorable trades and maintain board control.  Thoughtsteal can give you extra help and let you know what deck your opponent is playing.  With so many different Warriors out there, having an idea of what to expect can be a boon for you.  With Barnes showing up in many decks, Shadow Madness has become even more valuable lately. For late game, playing Arcane Giant for almost no cost along with Mind Control will push your opponent closer to conceding. And that's how most of my games have gone with this deck. Removing threats, playing big minions, and creating tempo swings with resurrect effects and minions from Atiesh help seal the win against opponents.

Card Choices and Subs:

Power Word: Shield: a staple in Priest decks. Use to boost Injured Blademaster and cycle cards. Don’t be afraid to drop it on an enemy minion before casting Entomb on it for the cycle.

Resurrect: again for IBM, Sylvanas, Windrunner and Ysera. A word of caution here--since you are getting random minions from Atiesh, using Resurrect late in the game could net you poor targets.

Shadow Word: Pain and Shadow Word: Death: removal for board control.

Thoughtsteal: extra cards are always good and knowing early on what deck you are facing can help you know how to play out the match.

Priest of the Feast: Use this hungry man for health gain. Try not to play this without being able to play a spell at the same time. However, a 3/6 for four can tend to last a round. People are becoming aware of how strong he is, so be careful and look for opponents to remove him asap. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten to single-digit health only to finish near 30 because of this guy.

Shadow Madness: Use this to help remove enemy minions to keep board control. Using this on deathrattle minions is great, because you get the benefits while denying your opponent minions and effects. Feel free to change the numbers here based on what you’re running into.

Excavated Evil and Holy Nova: These are your AOE removal spells. Since the release of Karazhan, I have been favoring Holy Nova over Excavated Evil due to the synergy with Priest of the Feast. Feel free to change the numbers here for what suits you best. These are good targets with Atiesh.

Onyx Bishop: Again with the tempo swings. Use him to own the board or start the comeback from a board wipe. There are times you can get insane value from him by bringing back certain minions.

Entomb: One of the most hated cards in the game it seems. When your opponent plays their win condition, just steal it. Or if you have lethal but they have a taunt in your way, just steal it. A great combo card with Atiesh since many people feel like if you play Entomb, it’s a slow or dead turn.

Holy Fire: I’ve really come to love this card. 5 damage to any target and 5 health to you, yes please. Combo this with Atiesh and for 6 mana you’ll do 5 damage, gain 5 health and summon a 6 cost minion. Whenever possible, use this on 4 attack minions, such as Azure Drake.

Mind Control: Another part of the concede part of this deck. Steal their win condition and use it against them. When combined with Atiesh, you’ll get a 10 cost minion for extra concedes. As I recently learned, if you Thoughtsteal C’thun boasting cards, then summon him off of Atiesh, he will have the boasts from the early cards.

Injured Blademaster: What can I say here that hasn’t been said in the last few weeks. You know he’s awesome. So play him, then replay him, then resurrect him, then resurrect him and so on.

Barnes: Another Karazhan card that’s getting a lot of play. Try to be aware of what is left in your deck before you play him. But it’s great to grab a Sylvanas Windrunner or Ysera with. Feel free to sub him out if you’re not getting your money’s worth.

Sylvana Windrunner: She seems like the most-played legendary in the game right now. Destroy it with Shadow Word: Death to steal an opponent’s minion that is either in your way or that you want at full health. If you use this tactic, just be sure to attack with her first, if able.

Medivh, the Guardian: The party man himself, for whom the deck is named. While his stats are below average for an 8 drop, his effect is what makes him great in this deck. With that said, I’ve noticed people are ignoring him due to Atiesh. If you want to leave me with a 7/7 to hit you with, I won’t complain.

Ysera: I included her for the extra spell cards. And with her big body, she is hard to remove for most decks.

Arcane Giant: I don’t think I’ve played these guys for anything but free since I made this deck. If you’ve baited out your opponent’s removal with your other cards, they’ll hit the concede button fast after seeing two of these guys hitting the board along with whatever else you play.

As far as any other subs, I would consider Emperor Thaurissan first and foremost. Some have asked why not Yogg-Saron, Hope’s End. It is a spell-heavy deck and he is at home in them. Feel free to use him, but he is too much RNG for me. But I understand the appeal. The AOE spell numbers along with Shadow Madness are where I would play around with the most. I feel that Ysera is the easiest to swap out overall. Try any other big minion, such as Ragnaros the Firelord or try out Nefarian. I know many Priest players, myself included, love Circle of Healing and Auchenai Soulpriest. But in the current meta, I’m finding the two-card combo unreliable and harmful with POTF. But if you want it, by all means use it.

Mulligans:

Versus aggro, keep Shadow Word: Pain, Priest of the Feast and any AOE.

Versus control, look for your Injured Blademaster and Resurrect. But don’t keep Resurrect without Blademaster in hand.

Issues:

No deck is perfect, and this deck suffers if you get bad draws. In fact, the games I lose are from this.  Currently Priest hurts from a lack of card draw. Unfortunately, I don’t have a solution for this at the moment.

Thank for stopping to look at my deck and enjoy. Please comment on it so that I know how its working for others. If there are any questions, just ask and I will update this guide. Sorry for any formatting issues as this is my first guide.

Enjoy.
