Just to avoid some questions.
You can't replace Bloodmage.
Rag with Al'Akir
Doomhammer sucks if you are not playing against shamans only. Trust me and play Hammer of Twilight if you want some weapon.
Replacements for rag? best options I can think about are sylvanas and doomhammer
Al'Akir is even better than Rag IMHO
Not gonna invest 1600 dust for a class specified legendary of a class I don't even play that much
Do whatever you want, buddy.
Most unplayable autistic deck i ever saw on this site in last 2 years. Gonna report Loyans twitch chanel for autism.
Yo, I made a video about this deck. I actually didn't expect the deck to be too strong without cards like Tunnel Trogg, Flamewreathed faceless and even Doomhammer, but it turned out to be pretty good. I'm still not too sure about Ragnaros in the deck, but it's still not a bad addition. I also don't agree too much on not being able to replace Bloodmage Thalnos, you can replace him with either a Kobold Geomancer or a Loot Hoarder, it's true that you lose one of the stats, but it's still a replacement that works. Anyway check out my video and leave a comment or two.
3 in a row losing streak to yogg sharon. I hate that card.

Now at level 9 all mages, druids and even warriors seem to run Yogg-Saron, Hope's End. Some druids even play him midgame, at 15 health, in the hope it will win them the game, which it might just do.
HansCH
Another loss to Yogg-sharon, 1 turn before killing this druid. Yogg managed to wipe my board, resurrect Ragnaros, duplicating him and getting my life total below 15, turning a sure win into a automatic loss. This card is just bad game design at its peak........
ofc this from twitch
So far I'm at 10 5 stars, with Ragnaros the Firelord and Bloodlust for 1 Mana Tide Totem. The bloodlust really helps, as Thunder Bluff Valiant is sometimes too slow to be leathal. But if the deck gets into a good flow, you can really get in the winning streak.

This list's ruthlessly efficient board control is wasted on an overcosted combo piece like Al'Akir. Ragnaros will kill your opponent by himself in a deck like this. He rewards you with a win if you can keep the board clear and serves as removal if you can't. Midrange shaman is packed with so many threats that sometimes control players won't even have an answer left for him. And our aggro counterparts don't even really run removal to begin with.
Also, Hammer of Twilight has been surprisingly helpful so far in helping to set up for the firelord. I cut one mana tide totem for it.
really great deck! just wondering what would be a good card to remove for Bloodlust? I've been doing really well with a different shaman deck using bloodlust and was hoping to add that in here somewhere...thanks!
I dropped a Mana Tide Totem for Bloodlust. I sometimes have 1 on the board and 2 in hand...
The bloodlust really rewards having a clear board with 4 or 5 minions on your side.

I've got both Rag and Al'Akir, and I don't understand why Rag would be used as the finisher here. Two Rockbiters and two Flametongues in the deck, so great synergy for the windlord. Is Ragnaros basically always better than Al'Akir? Would be a shame, but maybe I don't understand the reasoning here.
how is a 3/5 fpr 8 mana any good and you need combos and they have to be on board over extra mana for that combo
why not put both (perhaps if you find any card to be useless in most situations, drop that and put al akir as a late game win condition)
Because I'll have to assume that sometimes you want that 8 mana card to finish off your opponent. Or kill a certain minion for sure. Or you need a taunt to survive.
Rag will hit one random enemy for 8. So far so good, and if it sticks it will do it again and probably have great value if the game continues. No question, Rag is good.
Without any buffs Al'Akir will do 6 damage to a target of your choice (unless taunt is in the way), though it might die if it hits a 5-attack minion after losing its shield. Rockbiter will add 6 damage to that, Flametongue 4. And if that doesn't kill your opponent he still has to get through it while he might ignore Rag and hit face which is a good option if you have several small minions on board.
So, in a world with many small minions on the board lategame (zoo, token druids, totem shamans, hunter's stuff etc.) I personally wouldn't use Rag over Al'Akir. Then again Loyan will probably have a better idea about it than I do, but I just don't see the reason.
To beat control warrior, just hero power every turn and only play one major threat at a time. If you can get him to use both brawls, you pretty much just dump your hand onto the field and win. We have three self-sufficient finishers in this deck and warrior only has two executes on his best day. They won't usually even see Ragnaros coming. Sometimes they just draw all of their removal and we don't draw enough threats but that's not really our fault. For every time that happens, we get to face a few unlucky warriors that have to burn a brawl just to kill a mana tide totem or thing from below. It is generally a good matchup for us.
You're right about priests though. I hate those guys.
