A new dragon deck using two new cards Netherspite Historian and Book Wyrm from the adventure: One Night in Karazhan.
Early Game:
You are going to want to get Neterspite Historian, Wild Growth, or Blackwing Technician from mulligan. Also consider keeping Twilight Guardian because it is a low cost dragon, and so that you have a dragon which grants you the ability to use others cards battlecrys that need dragons.
Late Game:
Feral Rage, Wrath, and Swipe are good cards to clear your opponents board and stall so that you can build up your deck. Book Wyrm and Blackwing Corruptor are fantastic cards to keep your board control. When you have board control its a good idea to drop Ysera. If you do not have board control its good to play her anyway because with her 4 attack and 12 health its hard for your opponent to trade with her.
Other Card Considerations:
- Deathwing is almost the same as Deathwing, Dragonlord except its used more as a last resort and not played as a big minion for pressure. Use it by all means if you feel its better.
- Faerie Dragon is a good card I use it in almost every Dragon deck, but in I decided to use the new Netherspite Historian because it helps keep a dragon in your hand as much as possible and gives you more curve.
Card Changes:
- -1 Starfall +1 Nourish
- -1 Deathwing, Dragonlord +1 Starfall
- -2 Blackwing Technician +2 Living Roots
I love your feedback please let me know what you would do in the comments.
If you liked this deck please look at my other deck featuring the new card Ethereal Peddler.

Is there any substitution viable for Chillmaw? I don't have it, nor the dust to craft him, plus I'm not very convinced about crafting it just for one or two deck's sake.
I'm afraid that you're gonna say that you can't switch it out, that you need the taunt/AoE for the aggro decks or something like that. But if you think there's any possible change, please tell me. I want to try this deck myself :(
I would consider getting Chillmaw, he is great in the current meta with all the aggro decks. If you are looking to replace him it's kinda hard, but I can see putting Nefarian in your deck working maybe even putting Brann back in.
Thanks for the reply! It's true that without the anti-aggro value the deck is not as consistent as it could be, but unfortunately not all of us have the patience to get all the cards :/ And since until recently I was a dragon priest player, I didn't really need Chillmaw that much. Guess it's time to save dust!
I just thought about it and I completely forgot about Ancient of War. That card would be a good replacement.
This deck is a lot of fun! I love the new Dragon cards...both the Netherspite Historian and the Book Wyrm are nice additions to dragon decks!
Also, can you say Fandral Staghelm just owns too?! :P
I recorded a game tonight featuring your deck, Mercy! Thanks for sharing with us all :)
I'm sorry for this late reply as I have been busy with work and school and haven't got to all my comments, but I appreciate you taking the time to use my deck and even make a video of it! Thank you very much!
No problem, and its good to see a Dragon Druid deck list that's fun to play (and works well too)! Also, its rare to see on the ladder, because most people think Druids are beast or token decks these days ;)
I am still testing deck, but it is fun but not too much competitive. Missing Chillmaw that one thing and other is lack of healing becauce too much agrro on ladder, probably try new healing card. but it is still fun to play
It's good to use your Raven Idols for healing and clears.
I think all your points were great except I feel a second Nourish is very good and very important because the Druid does lack card draw. I am now considering putting Living Roots in this deck because as you said the synergy with Azure Drake and Malygos is fantastic. Deathwing is a little too slow for my liking now that Aggro decks are everywhere. As for the Blackwing Technician I think that will be a card I switch a Living Roots with.
Very nice deck. But I think Dragonlord is too slow for the meta, so what about Onyxia or Ancient of War in its place? It's better against aggro and onyxia is a great dragon :)
Also what about Yogg? With so many spells, he can save the game as a last resource too.
I haven't considered Ancient of War because it didn't have any synergy with dragons, but I will give it a try. The thing with Onyxia is that it would be better with cards like Power of the Wild, Savage Roar, Soul of the Forest, etc. so it would turn into a completely different deck which isn't bad, just not what i wanted:)
Thanks for the reply! Sometimes playing a onyxia on a empty board can win against aggro or midrange decks, even if it's just a lot of 1/1 whelps. :)
I'm trying AoW to see how it goes :)
I think Netherspite Historian can help with that. I just finished a game where I got Onyxia from Netherspite and won with it.
Cool! Netherspite Historian is a really good card, isn't? :)
I voted +1 for your deck. Good luck with it ;)
Thank you very much!
No true removal. Opponent played Ragnaros on turn 8, so I had to Feral, Hero Power and Corruptor it. On turn 9, he played Ysera. Had no answer in my entire deck.
Edit:
What I mean to say is that I'm consistently losing to Control Warrior. Too many big minions and he gets rid of all my minions, so I can rarely use their ATK powers to respond.
That's why Token Druid runs a Mulch. It's a tough life for Druids, but you could maybe fit in a Wild Pyromancer if you feel the removal is that important.
I'm not really sure there is anything you can do about that, maybe you could put in Deathwing or Mulch. It's just a hard match up.
You can add the Mulch in place of Starfall but really between the Starfall and idols(which you should always be getting spells from) Rag is fairly easy to deal with. When playing against control don't rush out the big guys like you normally would with your curve acceleration. In this instance play your curve and make them keep fighting for the board while you continue to punish them with your bigger curve from 4+. Save the nourishes for card draw to keep piling out the dragons.
Honestly i find the face Dragon/Warrior much harder to deal with if they get the ideal opening hand. Playing against that is about the same as playing tempo mage spell to the face deck, both of which are very good and popular right now. My own version of this deck is continually evolving even though i am having great success with it. In the end i think this is a very solid deck that has great potential.
