This is S30's Fibonacci's Yogg Warrior Control. Fibo is a renowned player known for his takes on Warrior Control which are pretty awesome imo. He's also known for being one of the best CW players in HS ever.
Gameplay
It plays to get to fatigue vs slower decks, using the advantages of Elise Starseeker, with a twist in Yogg-Saron, Hope's End and.
And as a more traditional WC vs Aggro and Mid-range.
Also, it adds a little twist with an understimated (imo) card from Karazhan: Fool's Bane. With Violet Illusionist (and all the other weapons in the decklist), you can easily wipe out your opponent's board without taking damage, specially during critical turns, allowing you to save your Brawls for later.
I'll be adding more details later (i was writing this guide in my cell phone)
Deck Analysis:
The usual anti-aggro package, with the addition of Fool's Bane and Violet Illusionist's combo
Giving you enough armor to support the game until the late stages. Portal also gives you a 4 mana minion that can help a lot.
- Legendaries:
Elise Starseeker: for the fatigue plan vs slow decks
Justicar Trueheart: 4 armor per turn saves you a lot of headaches
Sylvanas Windrunner: common legendary in WC
Alexstrasza: Ultimate survival or big damage dealer, depending on the case.
Yogg-Saron, Hope's End: Praise RNGesus, Pray Yogg!!!
Matchups:
When i gather more data, i'll put it more detailed here.
But with all the available removal, Aggro should be fairly easy.
Entomb can screw you vs Priest, but fatigue is your friend here. Play smart.
Hunter is gonna be your bane always. Their curve is always a pain in the ass. Call of the Wild is insane vs WC.
Mulligans:
- Always keep: Fiery Win Axe (you never know what are you up against, 'till the first couple of turns.
- Vs Aggro: the more removal, the better is your matchup.
- Vs Midrange: removal and weapons are your best bet. Vs hunter, pray. Fool's bane + Violet Illusionist can win you the game.
- Vs Control: fatigue is the name of the game. If you play smart, you will outlast them. Justicar is your best weapon here.
That's a pretty hard match. They can rush you with the 2nd Anyfin, no matter how much armor you got. Try to not kill their Murlocs directly. make him/her trade them for you.
hit 8-0 atm in rank 13-11
Prince seems better than Alex and plays better with spell heavy control decks. The extra cards is great of course but the minions you get which you normally wouldn't have are great to fight for the board with.
All subs are allowed. Don't follow a list to the 100%. Test that change!!!
I have tested it and it is lacking VS Zoo and Hunter. Not sure changing it more would be worth it because it just becomes your standard Dragon/Face Warrior deck at that point.
I'd just like to say I've been struggling against control decks and priests specifically for the past few weeks with my warrior decks. **UPDATE** On a winning streak with this most excellent deck, faced multiple resurrection priests, a fatigue warrior and dragon warrior...flawless. Thread poster is correct, fatigue is absolutely on your side, just gotta fine tune the timing of brawls and combos. I usually find that just letting a draw or two cycle through before I use removal at the 5-9 mana turn is really key. Haven't used her since I was playing freeze mage but Alex has made the difference almost every game. Great work!
Glad to help spreading the word of Warrior Control!!!
