This is my first published deck... please bear with me!
Secret Hunter has become a popular deck since the addition of Cloaked Huntress so I wanted to try my hand at creating my own deck. Through 25 games, I'm 19-6 (76%) and have moved up to Rank 6. I'm a very casual player and typically play less than 50 games in a month. This deck seems to just win. As long as the RNG doesn't totally sway the balance, this deck can compete early, mid, and late game with every other deck right now.
Unlike other Secret Hunter decks, this deck lacks Tracking. Whenever I've played it, I've felt it hurt more than helped. With so many low cost spells, a bad curve is typically a rarity. Therefore, it never helped in the early game and sometimes killed me by losing great cards (i.e. Call of the Wild).
The deck also differs from other Secret Hunters because it has Sludge Belcher. This card has been a game winner multiple times for me. Sludge has always been a powerful card, but when it can be drawn as a 1/1 by Barnes, it can provide a 1/1 and a 1/2 taunt for 0 mana.
Speaking of Barnes, the most common summons have been (1) Savannah Highmane, (2) Sludge Belcher, and (3) Secretkeeper. Only once did I summon Ragnaros the Firelord, but when I did it was devastating!
Maybe most important of all are Flare and Eater of Secrets. These are killers against Secret Paladin and Mage. I've had multiple opponents concede after I've knocked out their secrets.
In my 25 games, I have a winning record against every class except the one game against a Rogue (0-1).
I'm happy to provide a mulligan guide with some upvotes. Like I said, this is my first published deck. Enjoy!
Where's Eater of Secrets? What card should i cut out to put it?
25% win rate till now.
i been playin this alday its a very good deck :D
I cut off an Azure Drake and a Snipe adding Dr. Boom and Yogg-Saron, Hope's End and got a 80% winrate at the moment, beware of C`thun Druid though, their heavy table is a trouble for this deck. Its a pretty funny deck to play, thank you so much
I played 5-7 matches at rank 6. win one loose one, win one loose one...
You talk about Eater of Secrets, but it's not on the decklist.
how about yogg with all them spells?
one day u will get him :D i dont think he is worth to craft though i dont really use him to much :D
I've never needed Mad Scientist because of Cloaked Huntress. If I don't have the Huntress, I typically play a secret, Eaglehorn Bow, or Animal Companion. I prefer to give Barnes a better shot at big minions, so that's another reason I don't play Mad Scientist.
Barnes is one of the big reasons I keep Ragnaros the Firelord. A 1/1 copy of Dr. Boom isn't worth much, but a 1/1 Ragnaros the Firelord can completely turn a game at turn 4. That said, I think Dr. Boom would be a very good card in the late game. I would consider removing an Azure Drake to add Dr. Boom.
Thank you for the deck, i replace ragnaros with dr7 and how about mad scientist for this deck ?
