All credit for this meta-crushing deck goes to @TomaszHS, who I believe is posting a full writeup with stats later today. n0blord was impressed with the deck and commented on its potential:

When unsure about the strength of a deck, we err on the side of caution until it has proven itself. There were no refined Secret Hunter lists post CotW nerf, and the only person who played the deck seriously and posted results publicly was NickChipper on his climb to legend, but it was decided that the Face Hunter list was a better iteration. Your list, on the other hand, greatly shifts the matchups based off your tech choices and makes it a worthwhile standalone deck. I'm pretty sure we'll have this higher on future snapshots now that we have a proven list :)

I actually finished my write up on the list as well, it will be published on the website I write for today so I'll be posting it to comphs either tonight or tomorrow, so you guys can use that as a reference for matchup strengths/weaknesses and whatnot if you like. Here's a screencap of my winrates in the mean time: http://imgur.com/a/x6Yt0
About 250 of those wins are at top100 legend, and the rest are from my week 1 grind rank5-legend, so I think it's a very accurate representation of the deck against competent players.

For example, during the August season, which was only semi competitive because it only mattered for people trying for last call, I maintained a 70% winrate with druid for about 150 games to finish top 10 on NA/EU servers. The winrate is almost certainly inflated because you're playing well / your opponents are not, but I can tell when a list "makes sense" (I'm not particularly good at building lists myself) and the direction your list went definitely has potential :)

I did seem to have favorable winrates against strong players like Sjow, Muzzy, Flamingobuns, Hotform, NaviOOT, and others though. Granted, it certainly isn't a competitive season like you said, and the sample size against those particular players isn't large enough to be super relevant.
My point was more that this isn't like, a sample size of just rank 5-legend, or rank 10-legend that often gets posted to comphs. The majority of my games were against players competent enough to hit legend week 1 which certainly puts them in a competitive bracket on a relative basis (since lets be honest, most people are bad at this game lol). Also, the sample size seems appropriate for a "meta-snapshot", being that this is 350 games against the current legend meta :P.
Barnes Synergy: Only 1 bad pull from Barnes is getting Harrison. For me, having a 1-in-12 chance of getting a vanila 1-1 is worth the weapon removal & card-draw. Second worst is Tundra Rhino which is good if you have beasts on board. Getting Ragnaros flat out wins games....Savannah Highmane is one of the most common pulls and it causes a huge tempo swing when played on T4.
"You win this one, Friend" My favorite thing about this deck is how it remains so consistent while having the perfect answers to every move your opponent makes. I LOVE getting midrange shamans to concede when I coin out Snipe to hit Totem Golem on T2, drop another Snipe during my T4 to hit Azure Drake, then remove Spirit Claws with Harrison T5, and finally hit their Thing From Below and/or Thunder Bluff Valiant with Freezing Trap!
Update: Guide was posted to r/CompetitiveHS, but got deleted for linking to a site requiring registration. Only was able to find a Japanese version and not sure if it's the same content. I will edit this post to link to his guide as soon as it's available.
Cheers!

What aboup swap rhino or 1 tracking for aoe ( explosive or hounds ), or n'zoth?
I tested it out for quite a while, but was not impressed. I ended up going back to grandmother due to the synergy with Barnes. King's Elekk also hurts your matchup with midrange shaman....that alone was enough for me to go back. The fact that Kindly Grandmother survives board cleas and comes back as a 3/2 beast. Its a huge deal having a decent body on board right after your opponent rolls spell totem and obliterates all your minions with Lighning Storm.
Tracking is sufficient cycle and has the added bonus of thinning your deck - most people see this as a negative. However since you will NEVER be playing to fatique with this deck, you actually benefit from having higher odds of drawing into your win condition and/or whatever the situation demands.
Why no infested wolf?
I don't know why but I always get the 3 best cards in my deck when I use tracking I mean it always screws my game up...
Tracking is a bad card.
One is enough.
I like that this deck is favored against midrange shaman without completely sacrificing the control matchup like the face hunter version has to. This means that we can farm Thrall and many of his counters at the same time.
The lack of comeback potential scared me enough that I made the following changes to help us hold onto the board:
-1 Harrison Jones, -1 Sylvanas Windrunner, +2 Infested Wolf
This helps us curve out better, adds more beasts to the deck, and removes our only bad pull from Barnes. While the latter is arguably negligible (just icing on the cake really), the former points are both huge. Our turn 4 is very weak without Infested Wolf unless we are lucky enough to have Barnes right on time. It's important to note that turn 5 will still be fine even with only one 5-drop because we can just play any 2-drop or hero power alongside one of this list's powerful 3-drops.
Sylvanas hits for 1 less damage than Savannah Highmane, doesn't enable Kill Command, can't be given charge, and can often just be ignored. Highmane can also be ignored but my point here is that it kills the opponent much faster. Removing Harrison may be a mistake but I prefer consistency above all else.
I've never taken a deck to legend so I won't act like I know best. What do you think?
TL;DR: Curving out > running powerful tech choices? +1
Was rank 5 this weekend after an early push. Rank 9 currently after the worst losing streak of my life. C4lmann's face hunter is hard to pilot and I still misplay with it even after 150 matches.
Yeah the inconsistency drove me nuts. Found out the hard way that it's not worth it to focus only on the shaman matchup when we could be farming all the players trying to counter it instead. Definitely making the switch.
And grats on wrecking those players, only big one I faced was Kibler and I got absolutely destroyed.
I really enjoy this deck. Don't have Sylvanus so i play Cairne instead. Easy rank 5 climb, and I suck at this game.
Nice! That's great to hear and congrats on climbing up to 5...Cairne seems like a solid choice or you could even try out Harrison if there are lots of weapons in your meta. Personally, Im seeing mostly mages and warlocks as well as shamans, but fewer every day and lately lots of control shaman in addition to midrange which is one of the ,atchups where Sylvanas is key imo. If you get enough dust to craft her in the future, I strongly recommend it as she's in the Classic set and not going anywhere. I'm extremely fortunate to have a golden Sylvanas that I opened in a classic pack before Naxx came out. Best of luck climbing even higher and let me know if I can help! Hope to run into you on ladder soon!
Sweet! I love the Barnes synergy with Cairne:) If you can pilot this deck to R5 mid-season, you're a good player. Period. Definitely way above average. Its not the most difficult deck out there by any means, but it is requires thinking & focus to play well consistently. Cheers!
I guess I have been lucky with my matchups. Mages, Warriors and Paladins. Not much Shaman and Warlock. Have fun trying to clear my board! :)
Deck feels quite easy to play if you play a lot of Hunter like me. I go face a lot with this deck and try to maximise damage with hero power. Freezing Trap, Snipe with Midnight turn 3. Too good!
BTW, Barnes is ridiculous in this deck.
Good to hear that it's working out for you. Explosive is a good tech choice that @TomaszHs recommends vs aggro. Good luck!
Great deck - I swapped out Explosive Trap for Harrison to deal with all the Zoo I'm facing today
