Let me ask you a question. What do you get when you add Malygos+Evolve?
Exactly. EVOLVED MALYGOD!
This is the deck i've been playing with lately and it's working like a charm, really loving the rogue class. I'm currently rank 3 with it with about 78% WR, here's the stats so far: Stats 15/10
Deck inspired by this other list, go give him some love: ShtanUdachi's Malygos Rogue
Any questions or requests just comment i'll check in from time to time! :)
*MULLIGAN*
vs Hunter/Warlock/Mage/Shaman
No Coin: Swashburglar - Backstab - SI 7
With Coin: Swashburglar - Backstab - SI 7 - Tomb Pillager - Barnes - Edwin+Preparation
vs Druid/Paladin/Rogue/Warrior/Priest
No Coin: Swashburglar - SI 7 (play it on curve) - Tomb Pillager - Barnes
With Coin: Swashburglar - Tomb Pillager - Barnes - Azure Drake - Auctioneer
NOTES:
Careful with the Warrior mulligan, the one above is vs Control but the Aggro Pirate variant is very popular these days so try to do a hybrid mulligan, keeping Backstab might be wise.
Always plan ahead a couple of turns and think of what your opponent might do to counter your plays. Be aware of the amount of damage you can do at all times, Malygos combo does a total of 34 damage from hand (Malygos + 2x Sinister Strike + 2 Eviscerate). Emperor Thaurissan discounts are crucial so take special attention to that.
Vs Aggro decks you're just in survival mode most of the game so don't be afraid to use your Eviscerate to clear a minion.

It is possible but not a very good idea I think, Edwin is a second wincondition, especcially useful against aggro opponents. And against opponents of which I know they probably can remove a big threat I sometimes still create a 8+ Edwin so they can't remove my Auctioneer that turn.
Hey guys, i've been a bit afk last few days and i'll continue to be for next couple weeks. Got some major college stuff to work on, i'll be answering your questions as soon as possible, thank you all for the feedback in advance!
Any replacements for Barnes?
Dark Iron Skulker is pretty good but I don't think you're going to have a lot of succes with this deck without Barnes. Also if you put in Skulker instead of Barnes you may want to consider switching the Kobold for a second Swashburglar because you already have a 2 dmg board clear. If you don't have Skulker Shadowcaster may be interesting too :)
Thanks man! I feel as if Barnes isn't an important card, since it's only valuable if Rng goes your way in this deck. You are basically looking for Malygos or another spell power card, since body is out of the question. I might try to swap it for Skulker and see how i do. Do you own this deck yourself?
The last 5 days I've played this exact deck, the version with -Kobold +1 Swashburglar and a version of myself with Kobold and 2 x Swashburglar -1 Sap. Getting pretty good with it, beating shamans and control warriors feels pretty good, secret hunters are my biggest problem. Barnes actually comes up with something good most of the time, only swashburglar and edwin are bad, the spelldamage guys are bad if you play barnes early (the 1/1 will get killed before you can use it, therefore playing Barnes on turn 4 is often not a very good idea), Thalnos or tomb pillager are always good and a 1/1 auctioneer can be really good. I also use a decktracker since a couple of days and being able to see what you may expect from Barnes is very useful.
Conclusion: grind that gold and get Barnes ;)
barnes has the potential to give you another maly, just spell power in general, an auctioneer, another coin, or a free thaurissian discount. It's really strong.
Hi Johndoe, first of all thanks for sharing the deck and guide :) I played your version the last day of the previous season with medium succes (54% wr in 50 games from rank 13 to 9). Then I switched to ShtanUdachi's version which gave me 61% wr in 61 games from 19 to 12 (ofcourse gaining ranks this low may actually be tougher than 13 to 9 last day of season). I liked the 2nd Swashburglar a lot because of the perfect turn 1 and the fun and often nice stuff he comes up with but I started missing the kobold. Do you think having both and cutting out a Sap is a bad idea? It makes the Auctioneers worse ofcourse but I often find myself sapping 5/5 shaman taunts which isn't really efficient ofcourse.
Hey, was wondering if I could spectate a good rogue playing this :)
Why Evolved Kobold?
U recommend barnes on turn 4 / 3? You cant take value form malygos or auctioneer because its gonna die
this deck sucks.
Thanks for the constructive criticism.
Tomb Pillager is the card keeping this kind of rogue decks alive, the coin has extreme value so i would definitely go for that.
Well, all of those are hard matches for sure but besides the Hunter you should be winning at least 50% of the other matches..maybe there's something wrong about your game plan? Or maybe the mulligan gods just aren't on your side..
Thanks for the deck, i've climbed rank 6 from 11.
How do you deal with aggro decks? most of my losses against aggro
Aggro is definitely hard to deal with. Try to mulligan for the early removal like backstab with the SI:7, if you're able to contest the board early it should improve your odds of winning the game largely.
Evolved Kobold is quite underrated,it can act as a psuedo fireball if you combine it with burn spells,it can make your Fan of Knives an almost Flamestrike etc. etc.
Yeah Kobold just makes this deck better all around!
Evolved Kobold no sense in this deck
Care to explain why?
