Greetings,  this is TommasoLifonti, a legend player from Italy.

This season I share with you the deck that helped me to reach Legend: Malygos Freeze Mage.

Before start to explain the deck to you, please be aware that it's not an easy deck to play, but I think it's a little bit more easy to play than the classic freeze mage. If you are good to play the classic freeze mage, then you shouldn't have any problem playing this deck.

In a meta full of midrange shaman, in this month a lot of people started to play freeze mage again. And I did it too... but with my own deck.
This is a freeze mage deck that works a little bit different from the classic version though. It's more combo-control oriented.
The strategy is pretty simple: You need to control the board using the freezing cards and the other spells (like flamestrike and fireball) and limit your opponent attack as much as possible, and in the meanwhile you need to draw your combo as hard as you can.
We have a lot of drawing cards just for this reason, you want to get the combo cards in your hand as soon as possible.

What is the combo?


Against class that doesn't heal themself (Hunter, shaman, rogue, zoolock...) is it enough to draw: 1x Frostbolt, 2x Ice Lance. When you have this cards in your hand, play Emperor Thaurissan. When you will play Malygos on turn 10+, with this combo you will be able to deal 26 damage in one turn.
In this case you want to deal the other 4 damage during the prevous turn. You can deal 4 dmg face with medivh's valet + hero power, with the second frostball + hero power or with other spells. That's depend on you and how the match flow.

Against class that heal themself pretty hard (Paladin, Priest, Renolock..) you want to OTK them. So basically you need to play Thaurissan when you have in your hand: 2x frostbalt, 2x ice lance, 1x Malygos.


Against class that have a lot of armor (Druid, warrior) it's pretty much an impossible match, just like the classic freeze mage.

If you need, you can play part of the combo card for keep the bord control, but in this case you need to find other way to win the match.
