A different strategy without the Molten Giants RIP. It's a fun deck. I found it hilarious the first game i played with it was vs a mill rogue. RIP rogue.
Mulligan
This is what i usually look for:
Mortal Coil
Brann Bronzebeard
Dark Peddler/Acidic Swamp Ooze
Mountain Giant/Twilight Drake
With coin you can also consider:
Shadow Bolt
Earthen Ring Farseer
Shadowflame
If you face a warrior, paladin, shaman or hunter you definitely want Acidic Swamp Ooze . If you can find it, keep it for sure. Only one copy though.
If you are anticipating an aggressive deck you will want to keep 1 Hellfire and/or Shadow Bolt and probably not Mountain Giant or Twilight Drake in this case.
Mulligans for this deck are a little forgiving though, because you can draw a lot of cards with your hero power.

So is Ancient Watcher out dated for handlock now?
What would you think about replacing Bane of Doom with something like Malchezaar?
I had Malchezaar in a previous version of this deck. It tends to make it a bit too inconsistent. Bane of doom is not really of huge importance itself, but i wouldn't replace it for malch.
I love this deck. Thank you sir.
It's really viable against almost any deck, shaman are annoying but that's true for anyone who's not a shaman. Also can beat anyfin with the big taunts which I hate playing against normally.
Bog creeper is doing fine in place of soggoth whom I just dusted last week.
I also concur that a mulligan guide would be helpful. I have a basic idea but could use some tips.
Thanks for the feedback! I am glad you enjoy the deck :) Nice to hear that bog creeper is working as a sub for soggoth also!
I have added a brief mulligan guide above, hopefully it is of some use. I find the mulligan to be pretty flexible for this deck.
If i find the time i should add some more strategy and match-up info. I have a lot of work and blizzcon watching ahead of me this weekend, though!
GLHF!
Any chance you will be coming out with a mulligan guide soon?
I wasn't planning on doing that right now, but i can see that this deck seems to be getting increasingly more views/votes, so i may put together a brief mulligan guide today or tomorrow to help convey the way to play. For now you can check out the replays linked above and look at what i did for my mulligans.
Is it possible to transform this deck into a Renolock by replacing dupes and perhaps adding c'thun cards?
Anything is possible, but i wouldn't go about doing it like that. I think that removing the duplicate cards would cause the foundation of this deck to crumble. If you want to build/play a renolock there are already several varieties posted around hearthpwn. The performance of c'thun warlock decks is also questionable imo but i haven't really tried it myself.
I have been running a Renolock with C'thun cards and it took me to rank 4 a couple of months ago. Now I am having a real hard time getting past rank 10 with that same deck so I would also try something else if I were you.
Do you think that Alexstraza is a good replacement for something in this deck? Just asking, i was thinking on craft her, but im not sure.
And for the next expansion, are you hyped for some kind of card that this deck would benefit?
I don't think i would include alex in this deck. It doesn't really contribute towards the focus of this deck. You want to win by building a board of large minions essentially. Alex is a big minion, but the battlecry does little to nothing in this case. It's better for decks that have some sort of burst combo. It especially will not help against warriors.
As for the new expansion, i am really hoping for some more (good) cards that interact with hand/deck sizes or life totals that could contribute towards this sort of control warlock archetype. That, or something that could allow molten giant to be more viable in standard.
You sure can. I like the card because it is a very strong stand-alone taunt, but you can easily swap it for a Bog Creeper or Defender of Argus
why no Doomsayer
I simply decided i didn't want to include it because i want be able to build my board up asap and playing a doomsayer is counterproductive to that. Instead taunts will force trades and removal spells will do work.
most exciting lock i seen in a long time :D im (running 1 ooze replace with 1 mind cntrl tech)
Thanks for the feedback :) I think that is a pretty good tech (literally i guess, lol). If i start to see weapons less often i may do something like that as well.
i am enjoying this deck so much its like the old days but actually better as for my change it works decent but i am greedy and sometimes think to change the tech to mal ganis although it probs wont work like i said i am just greedy :D
Haha, i miss Mal'Ganis. Probably not the best unless you build around it though. I only play standard :(
well i been playing wild for practice i know its dif altogether but i wanted a feel for the deck and i got that now so standard here i come! :D
