Stranglethorn Secrethunter

 

 Hi together, 

Had good climbs with this deck last season from 5 to 2 and this season from 16 to 8 already. With more time this is definitive a legend deck. Not gigantic differrents to all the other secret and face decks but finetuning a bit and found the stranglethorn tiger as a perfect solution!

Card Choices

Early Game

Argent Squire: Sticky one drop, i play 2 copies to ensure a good mulligan without coin

Secretkeeper: Must play in Secrethunter, so good. Even without a secret followed, a huge threat, always first target to remove for your opponent.

Kindly Grandmother: You need something with 2 mana for the Board. There could also be Huge Toad but Grandma is al lot harder to remove.

Secrets

2x Cloaked Huntress for sure

2x Freeze, 2x Cat, 2x Snipe

no Explo, Snake or Bear.. this combination just figured out as the best for me. Bear is too slow and most of the time instantly removed. Snake is often not triggered cause u have an empty board. explo... could be good against zoo and shaman matchup but is completely crap in most of the other matches.. but will test it soon again

Throw down your Huntress with coin and let this be followed up with freeze and snipe. Awesome start and insane tempo. Snipe so good against all those 4 health minions... I think this is just the best secret combination.

Interesting Choices

2x Stranglethorn Tiger: My favourite card in this deck. Nearly guaranteed 5 Damage, Beast for Kill Command follow up. Throw him on the board and you've done a huge step in winning the game. Yes I know. 5 drop, comes late, wait one turn.... doesn't matter if you play the deck with putting constant threats on the board. In turn 5 you will be ahead with ur health ressource and you can afford to put a tiger on the board. Next turn will be amazing!

Argent Commander: Ok. This is a bit surprising... also for me. But he performed well if i get him in late game. therefore only one copy. Its another charge, another 4 damage or removal of nearly everything (Azure, Totemgolem, Flamewaker, ...)

Tracking: I dont like tracking that much. Use it wisely and think a lot about your choice. I like to get it late so i don't have to throw away that much in early game. Sometimes just saves your ass if you can choose your kill command or quick shot into empty hand and draw.

I think the rest of the cards is quite common. Double Animal Companion cause of always calling the Huffer ;) 

Subs

Argent Commander and Tracking are the spots I'm going to test other stuff. Second Unleash or Explotrap will be possible Subs. Wolfrider and Reckless would be surprising new (and probably bad) stuff... but i think the setup as i posted it is quite good. Also thinking about Jungle panther, but will be removed too often from Aoe I think.
