Man, have I been having fun in Wild lately. After being completely bored with Standard I've been playing Wild for the last two months and that really is the place to be if you wanna have fun!!!

So first of all, this deck brings you exactly that, FUN. And let's be honest, playing cool decks that lose to everything else is not fun but with a winrate of 64% after 80 games in Wild ranked I can say that that is not a problem this deck has. I have been playing it for roughly a month now, refined it a bit and then reset the counter and last month it brought me to rank 8 and today I got to rank 10. I am not in it for the ranks, it's just to show you that this deck can compete since the first 10 days the bottom ranks are not only played by noobs and players just playing whatever they want. This deck can compete with secret pally, beat N'zoth priest, crushes zoolocks and it even has no problem with the standard decklist of OP shaman. Here is my decktracker showing just that:

Before I talk about the deck, just one thing to notice about Wild, there are a lot of different decks. Aside from Druid and Rogue, in 80 games I've played all classes at least 8 times, and they don't all play the same deck. Like I said, its a good alternative for Standard.

So Dreadlock obviously revolves around Dreadsteed and it is a control deck, make no mistake. The decklist packs a ton of removal and a good deal of healing and you will need it. Double Twisting Nether is a must and with your Darkbombs and Imp-losions you will fight for the board in the early game.

The goal is to get at least 4 Dreadsteed on the board through a combo with Baron Rivendare, Kel'Thuzad and some Sacrificial Pacts or Mortal Coils for infinite value. This accomplishes two things: you will never lose board control and your opponent has lost all its win conditions except to burst you down. This last point means you have got to take care of your HP, don't tap too much and try to think ahead. If you know what you want to do the next 2 turns, don't tap even if it means you float 2 mana. rather use your Mortal Coil to gain board control and draw a card, its better than saving it for combo. if you accomplish your goal with 15+ HP, you will most likely win, if not it will be a close game against decks that have some burst.

Barnes is my newest addition to the deck which may give you one of your combo cards, but in most other cases you will be happy as well. 8 cards in your deck are great with Barnes, 6 are worse of which only Dark Peddler suck balls.

One trick most players don't know about, certainly my opponents, is when Sylvanas Windrunner is dropped by your opponent. If you have a board clear, kill all your steeds once before you wipe the board, making sure Sylvanas dies of course. Because your steeds were spawned later she will fish on an empty board and get nothing.

Now you may think, this wasn't viable before, why would it be now? Well, I used to have a winrate of 50% at low ranks before WotG came out, so indeed, not viable. But N'zoth the Corrupter is a big thing in Wild now, and they are great match ups for this deck. These decks are slow, will fight for the board too long and if you just save a Twisting Nether you have nothing to worry about. Also, nobody is using silence and priest isn't running Cabal Shadow Priest which were both devastating cards against dreadlock. If your early game is not bad you can compete against secret pally and zoolock because they both rely on the board and this decks is designed to take the board with minimal damage by turn 6-8, after that it's usually a grind to their inevitable dead.  The biggest problem is huge burst decks. Freeze mage, Miracle rogue, and Murloc pally are very hard matchups. Luckily they are not played very much.

One card I have thought to replace for some time is Bane of Doom but since the winrate is okay I haven't gotten around to it yet. I think maybe Demonwrath will be better for when you get overwhelmed, just a suggestion if you are struggling.

So, if you have the cards (its kind of a high dust deck) give it a try. I'm telling you, you will be surprised. And if you are happy with the result, don't forget to upvote.

Cheers!
