I run a similar deck but with King Krush and Dreadscale, which works surprisingly well in this deck
Why no sylvannas?
If you're gonna play this deck, do it in ranked!
Don't ruin my fun decks in casual!
Arcane Giant , Barnes and Yogg-Saron, Hope's End would be a nice additions with so many Spells!.
Barnes maybe I put more but Arcane giant and Malygos would be good options in a deck without the Reno.
Not sure why you are playing Brann with so little Battlecries?! I just swapped him with Barnes who can find a decent amount of good targets (most obvious Ragnaros, Emperor, Auctioneer etc.)!
Deck was working alright for me, going 3-1 on rank 6: VOD Reno Control Hunter
Youtube-Player:
I removed the Brann it really was not fit on the deck and I was missing Finley so I decided to put it in the brann place, Barnes is also a good option and you played well haha already wrote me on your channel :D thanks for the comment!
Really he did not fit the deck and I removed him
What about Malygos? You have Arcane Shot, On the Hunt, Quick Shot and Emperor Thaurissan
It is even a good idea to Malygos but Arcane shot, On the Hunt and Quick Shot are most used on this deck to control the board but in a version of the deck where you do not have the reindeer use the malygos with these spells is great.
Sub for Lock and Load?
Has many low cost spells on the deck if you need to use several you use with lock and load and your hand will not be empty and with the reduction of Thaurissan is even better
I once made a deck like this but with a N'Zoth twist
When I was thinking about making this deck I also thought about putting the N'zoth is a good
Do you get Ram Wrangler to proc often in this type of deck or does it just sit in your hand? And how relevant is the random beast?
What I mean is that I'm okay with Ram Wrangler in some kind of funky midrange/beast hunter, but assuming you'll be playing from behind most of the time (as normally reno decks do), will it allow you, on average, to swing the state of the board enough to be worth a slot?
I'm thinking of putting the Curator or Azure Drake in place of Ram Wrangler, even though it's a random beast. Ram Wrangler is good at trying to take advantage on the board or to fight with Brann but I still want to change it.
Yeah, drake seems more consistent overall.
I've tried to do decks like this sometimes but i always give up because the lack of good board clears and consistent card draw which are the strength of renolock.
Right now, if I tried to make a reno hunter though, I guess it would be a list similar to yours but with:
-1Multi-Shot +1The Curator
-1Elise Starseeker +1Baron Geddon/Dreadscale
-1Brann Bronzebeard +1Sir Finley Mrrgglton
-1Tundra Rhino +1Eaglehorn Bow
As an alternative, as someone else suggested, going the N'zoth route may prove useful.
Whatever works for you though, all the best :)
I made some changes that you suggested, Eaglehorn Bow would not have much value for having few secrets but I'm still thinking of putting dreadscale but for now the changes I made and I'm satisfied the deck is going well, thanks for the comment!
What is the purpose of [card]Sir Finley Mrrgglton [/card]?
I mean am I right that you are trying to get the Warlock hero power for the card draw?
Or do I miss something?
That would be ideal, yes, but I think that the rest would be better than hunter's (except for shaman and paladin)
However, I wouldn't be surprised if after testing finley turns out to be not that good. If the deck didn't run The Curator I certainly wouldn't include him.
Now that I think of it, Corrupted Seer might be a consideration because of hunter's poor AoE's
