Greetings, travellers, I'm Subrezon, a german legend player. I love creativity in deckbuilding, and I always try something new, and try to make it work. Before the release of Mean Streets of Gadgetzan I will try to fry up a deck for each class that I think has potential AND might be competitive. Grimy Goons give Warrior another shot at the archetype that stormed the meta at Old Gods release, only to disappear just as fast - Tempo Warrior.

What the fuck is this deck?
The deck looks rather strange, because its games are segmented - the defense phase, where you use Taunts, Whirlwind-like effects and Fiery War Axe to stop aggression; catch-up phase, where you start getting on to the board with serious minions like Grimy Gadgeteer or Bloodhoof Brave, while drawing with Battle Rage and buffed Fight Promoters; and, punchdown phase, where you use Don Han'Cho and Doppelgangster (AKA "consistent Varian Wrynn") to close out the game. Buffing things like Alley Armorsmith can ensure a safe board position, giving an edge against most aggro and "fast midrange" decks.

Clear the pirates, win the game.

Why the fuck this deck?
Control Warrior basically will stay unchanged in MSoG, so I went with a more intricate archetype. It also incorporates Grimy Goons the best in Warrior.

Is it going to be "a deck" upon release?
First, it is hard to tell if this deck will work at all. So many aspects of it have to be playtested and refined, this is just a template, a crude try, the best I could do without playing such deck. Second, even if it works in the beginning, the deck can just fade away, as it happened with its previous iteration within 2 months of Old Gods. But, well, I have high hopes for this one.

UPDATE #1: well, the deck got quite a warp, due to the ever huge presence of aggro and Jade Druid. But first, some notes on the cards:
- Stolen Goods didn't shoot at all. A very weak card
- Brass Knuckles - the same. Does too little, too slow and is a 4-mana "do nothing" card
- Don Han'Cho would be really good in a meta where you can expect to live past turn 7. Right now, it is waaaay too slow
- Doppelgangster is powerful, but so cluncky a lot of the time, so I cut it for the time being
- Fight Promoter on the other hand really gets stuff done. It is a 6-mana card, so I'll stick to one copy for now, but in a refined deck it will be sooo good
- And now for the MVP of the deck: Grimy Gadgeteer. I really think it is the second best card in the game, right after Drakonid Operative. One tick = crazy tempo swing on the next turn, or enable Fight Promoter. Two or more ticks = game is won. I even tried it in Pirate Warrior, and I must say it is rather funny to play your Southsea Deckhand as a 4/3 with charge.
- Buffing Armorsmith, Acolyte of Pain or, most importantly, the almighty Grim Patron is OP.
- All of this just works if you have enough Whirlwind-esque effects in the early game
This deck as a whole is insanely strong, this is going to be the "didn't quite see it at the start" deck like Dragon Warrior was, IMHO.

So, I hope you enjoyed this one, so stay tuned for more! Don't forget to drop a +1 and to check out all of Subrezon's Theorycraft Series!
