Strategy
This deck is built around Raza the Chained. If i every see it during mulligan i always keep it. Your other two or three cards will optimally be ones you can play early.
Focus on clearing their board and avoiding damage as efficiently as possible until you have enough resources to put your late game into effect. Shadowform can be strong once you have drawn reno. Then you can focus on dealing damage.When playing Kazakus remember that you do not have to go for the 10-cost option every time. Your balls will be fine. I have had a lot more success when i had a 5-cost potion to cast the next turn to swing the tempo.
Remember that Hozen Healer will kill any minion that does not have divine shield when Embrace the Shadow or Auchenai Soulpriest are active. Reno will destroy you.

Card Breakdown
Circle of Healing | A versatile aoe tool. You can usually use this to heal your minions and keep them alive, or combine it with the power of Auchenai Soulpriest for a board clear. |
Holy Smite | This is some nice cheap damage that has many applications. Nice to have early game v.s. aggro especially. |
Northshire Cleric | This is one of your man draw tools and you don't want to play it too early unless you are able to trigger it and get value. |
Power Word: Shield | Simple and very useful cycle card. Perfect pair with Mana Geode for example |
Bloodmage Thalnos | Mostly to cycle, but the spell damage can be useful in some situations. |
Loot Hoarder | Can't have two Bloodmages! |
Shadow Word: Pain | One of your direct removal spells that you should use carefully. |
Kabal Talonpriest | The stats are nice and the effect is great for keeping your minions alive. |
Shadow Word: Death | One of your direct removal spells that you should use carefully |
Shadowform | It is nice to turn your hero power into damage, especially for free. Usually you play this late-game, but you can play it earlier if there is a need. Reno can usually fill the healing role. |
Boneguard Lieutenant | I like the synergy this has in priest as it gains health as a result of using a hero power that restores health. Can be fantastic if left alone. |
Auchenai Soulpriest | Turn that healing into damage with a solid minion. Just be careful with what you do while it is in play. Remember Reno Jackson will kill you ad Hozen Healer will kill any minion. |
Excavated Evil | Reliable aoe spell. I play this instead of Dragonfire Potion because i don't have to worry about it being useless against dragons. |
Holy Nova | Reliable aoe spell that also heals. |
Raza the Chained | Fantastic card., really the core of this deck. You really do want to get your hands on this as early as possible to ensure your free hero power. Then the fun begins! |
Potion of Madness | It can help you out early against aggressive decks or any time against smaller minions. Aim to destroy 2 minions. |
Confessor Paletress | Gives you some really strong late-game plays. With your free hero power, you can combo this with the reset of Shadowform and summon 2 legendaries on turn 10! |
Thoughtsteal | A sort of card draw that can give you some information about your opponent's deck provide some relevant cards. |
Daring Reporter | I think that this is a great card. It is basically a 4/4 and if you can keep it alive it will just keep getting bigger. This is the sort of card that makes people worry. |
Embrace the Shadow | The spell version of Auchenai Soulpriest lets us have two opportunities to do some damage with out healing, especially the Circle variety. |
Acolyte of Pain | Some more draw that has some cool priest synergy. This is one of a few good targets for additional health. |
Fel Orc Soulfiend | Very nice card in priest because it can get at least a couple trades. You can heal it back up to keep it alive. Some people often over-commit to killing this as well, forgetting it will do the 2 damage to itself next turn. |
Injured Blademaster | Always a great card for healing synergy. It's something that is nice to play with Circle of Healing as well. |
Kabal Courier | This lets you acquire another tool to give you an edge, possibly from another class. There are often some good choices when you play this; choose wisely! |
Hozen Healer | This gets a lot of value in this deck. It can heal up a minion with a lot of health easily, or if you have Auchenai Soulpriest on board you can kill ANY minion! From full health!! Once used this to take down a Soggoth the Slitherer. Feelsgoodman. |
Darkshire Alchemist | Can't go wrong with some additional healing. I much prefer to use it as damage if i can, however. |
Kazakus | This is where you create your ultimate potion. I often like to use this to clear the board and resurrect some minions, or perhaps to deal some direct damage and give my minions a ton of health. Whatever is good at the time! |
Prophet Velen | This is a really strong card and it can be out Dr. 7. I decided to use this after i discovered it from a Kabal Courier and it made a huge difference. You can make a comeback healing with this after turn 7 or do extra damage! |
Dirty Rat | Due to seeing a lot of aggressive decks and battlecries recently i decided to add this in. I like it's health total as well because you can heal it if they can not get past it. Just be prepared. |
Reno Jackson | Not too much to say about this card. You should know what it does by now i think. Just do NOT play this when you have Auchenai Soulpriest on board, or you lose the game. I like having this because it makes it less risky to use shadowform depending on when you draw it. |

I just don't have all the cards, so trying to replace it, lol. 7 games / 5 wins / 2 losses, your decks are pretty nice
I can imagine it being pretty decent, just not against fast decks. Funny that you commented on this one i actually just revisited it because i wanted to play some priest =P Making a couple tweaks to it. Glad you are enjoying it though! Thanks for your feedback :)
I still love Brann Bronzebeard and Mana Geode in this deck. Other changes look nice, I will make it too!
Has anyone managed to win any games with this deck?
I'm just bored and messing around but the idea seems to be throw arena cards at the opponent until he draws into his constructed cards and wins. For instance why is excavated evil in here? It's strictly worse than dragonfire potion. Mana geode is completely worthless, the random potion card is awful...the list goes on.
Oh yeah, Gnomish Inventor over Azure Drake? That makes no sense. Novice engineer instead of Bloodmage Thalnos?
I think, Gnomish Inventor instead of Azure Drake, because you can play it with Brann Bronzebeard and have 3 mana left for cards like Kabal Courier and Kabal Talonpriest. Almost the same logic with Novice Engineer, but i prefer Bloodmage Thalnos to power my AOEs
What do you recommend as replacements for Confessor Paletress and Nexus-Champion Saraad?
I would suggest kodorider and kvaldir raider for example. Basically other strong inspire minions. Otherwise you could try forbidden shaping.
