This is my first deck post on hearthpwn, please dont mind my english(not my native language)

This is an aggro deck, but that dont mean that u have to go full ham on your first turn like warrior or shaman. this deck is a bit slower than those. losing your 1 drops to unfavorable trades can cost u the game. so try to get max value from every card.

 

Popular Matchups and Mulligan:

A word to Reno decks, i wont mention these decks in the Matchups:

These decks(Renomage/Priest and Warlock) are cancer imo. its like flippin a coin, if they have reno on 6 its freelose, if they dont its most time freewin. mulligans is the same as in other matchups. sometime u can kill them pre round 6 if they lack answers. i will celebrate the day the new standard rotation kicks in and this cancer archetype will disappear :)

 

 

To Edwin vanCleef:

U can keep Edwin in nearly every matchup if u have coin and Backstab/1 drop or poison in hand. dont expect to get a giant vancleef, a 4/4 or 6/6 is great on turn 2-3-4. i wont mention him in mulligans in the matchups.

 

 

Warrior: Favorable Matchup

Pirate/Dragon Pirate, Control dont exist?

Coin: ships cannon if u have pirates, backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, buccaneer, Ooze

no Coin: backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, ooze

 

Most Warrior expect Miracle Rogue to face and will go full ham on you. u can stop his early push with backstab and cannonplay with your 1 mana pirates. remember that the cannon fires twice if u summon a pirate which summon patches. once u have board u will out smorc him with cold blood, oil and evis. important in this matchup is to clear his pirates early so he cant buff his weapon with his 3mana 3/4.

 

 

Shaman: Even Matchup

Midrange or Aggro

 

Coin: ships cannon if u have pirates, backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, buccaneer, Ooze

no Coin: backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, ooze

 

Similar to warrior matchup. clear early board while establishing yours. dont overextend too hard, midrange shaman usually run 4 boardclears(lightning storm and portal). a bit luck is involved, if he draw all his boardclears and taunts u will prolly lose.

 

 

Druid: Favorable Matchup

Jade or Combo, didnt met aggro or token druid

Coin: ships cannon if u have pirates, backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, buccaneer, SAP

no Coin: backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, SAP

 

Usually easy matchup cuz of lack of early game of the druid, but druid also can have a lucky opening. always keep sap for the ancient of war or other taunt if u can push for lethal.

 

 

Priest:  most time Hard Matchup

Dragon Priest

Coin: ships cannon if u have pirates, backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, buccaneer, evis, SAP

no Coin: backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, evis, SAP

 

Dragon Priest have a very good early game with Taunts and high value minions, u will lose if he get those. try to start pushing early if he lacks answers u can win easy.

 

 

Paladin: Favorable Matchup

Secret Paladin

Coin: ships cannon if u have pirates, backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, buccaneer, Ooze

no Coin: backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, ooze

 

Pretty easy matchup, get early board, remove every threat and u should punish and overhelm him before he can even think about playing dr6. most paladins i met didnt run consecration, so easy i think.

 

 

Hunter: Favorable Matchup

Midrange/Secret Midrange

 

Coin: ships cannon if u have pirates, backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, buccaneer, Ooze

no Coin: backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, ooze

 

i met 1 or 2 hunter from rank 5-legend but i think its a favorable matchup for rogue. u have better early and he lacks removals. biggest threat is his explosive trap and uth, try to play around it. if u sap savanna on turn 6 its gg.

 

 

Rogue: Even if Mirror, Favorable if Miracle

most time miracle

 

Coin: ships cannon if u have pirates, backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, buccaneer, Ooze, sap

no Coin: backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, ooze, sap

 

he only win with mass boardclears with spelldmg, this deck is much faster then miracle. he will be nearly dead as soon as he can combo with auctioneer. u can keep sap in mulligan for his 4 drop or a giant edwin/questing adventurer if he try to cheese.

 

 

Warlock: Freewin

Zoolock

 

Coin: ships cannon if u have pirates, backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer, buccaneer

no Coin: backstab, southsee deckhand, small-time buccaneer

 

i faced 3 Zoolocks, all of them concede the game at round 3. u need really unlucky draws to lose i think.

 

 

Mage: read above

didnt met any tempomage, read reno section above.

 

 

Card to consider:

u can consider to tech in Southsea Captain in this deck for the SI7 and some other card. i simply dont have this card so i dont run it.

Most other Pirates are so slow imo(Luckydoo Buccaneer, Greenskin, Southsea Squidhead) or not worth it because u cant buff them enough(Bloodsail Raider)
