Hello everyone! I'm Sera, Long time player of Hearthstones more off the wall deck types. Today I wanted to share with you my ever evoling Don Jenkins OTK Paladin, which is designed to bring Pally back to the meta with a competitive and fun archetype. I've personally fell in love with this deck climbing from Rank 17 to 5 so let's jump right in!
The Meta Breaker Combo 32 Damage!!!!
The combo is fun and incredibly effective to pull off, the deck has plenty of draw to quickly cycle so you can pick up your combo pieces. Brann is also in the deck to more than maximise your damage potential.
Death to Reno Mage!
The ultimate tech card, a simple must have to defeat Reno Mage otherwise it would be a dead matchup.
One AOE To Rule Them All!
Kill everything big or small, Paladins ultimate AOE.
The Kings Of Anti Aggro!
Your ideal starting hand to fight aggressive decks also Loot Hoarder and Truesliver Champion will carry you to the midgame.
It's All About Drawing Your Combo!
The deck has plenty of draw to cycle quickly through your deck and find the combo pieces.
Players with Experience playing Freeze Mage or the control variant of Murlocadin will find the playstyle easy to adapt to as it's all about managing resources, building your combo and future turn planning.
I'm not a huge fan of Paladin so I didn't want to craft Wickerflame Burnbristle, and running the deck with Dirty Rat has given me a lot of nice pulls with either Doomsayer or Equality
Wild Pyro + Equality is so dirty.
aaand leeroy is at the bottom of my deck. I still like this
Leeroy was the bottom card in the first match I played, and I still won. The other guy was a poor rank 17 scrub with Ironfur Grizzly in his deck. I don't think he saw that 32/12 Leeroy coming haha
And yeah I'm playing it now because I opened a Don Han'Cho and had no idea what to do with it lol
I find theres lot of minions to burn to ensure you get the combo right. have done it successfully a few times but i've went into fatigue each time. Thinking I might cut down on the draw a card minions, see what happens
He even uses the Eater of Secrets tech.
I was going to call this a blatant ripoff of Day[9]'s last deck on YouTube. But, I see that your deck was published a day before his video. So, my world is blown now and I no longer know what is right and true in this world.
What rank did you achieve?
Just got a win against a renolock. No need for Don Hancho, Just got him to 20 hp, used a BoM, Leeroy and BC and got him. But without EMP this deck is not viable
I destroyed 1 priest and 1 renolock with this deck but I just got beaten from a hunter and jade shammy. How can you climb with this deck? I find it very very situational. Can't make a board with it. Have to drop Oozes and Aldors to keep a board up to a 10th turn to be able to use Leeroy. If I am able to do so, I also need to have both BoM and BC and Leeroy, and I must also have used Emperor earlier. How did you manage it? =P
Firstly thanks for giving me such a detailed answer. I love Paladins and I try to play all kind of decks with them. Problem with Don is that you need to have only Leeroy on your hand to buff him and that's difficult, while with Emperor you just need 2 of the 4 cards(BC, 2 BOM and Leeroy).
I have just completed BRM so I will try with Vigil now, and I will find a way to deal with the cancer decks =)
Have you tried running brann?
Looks a good ideia. Against control decks, Brann+Don buffing leeroy is powerful :)
-1 Blessed Champion + 1 Faceless Manipulator
Same damage bonus, but much more flexible as Faceless can be used defensively to survive and breaks the damage between 2 minions so a 0/2 shaman taunt doesn't completely kill your combo.
Duh, didn't think about that
I really enjoyed playing with the deck.Could you, please post guide and mulligans ? i'm having difficulties
<pre id="tw-target-text" class="tw-data-text tw-ta tw-text-medium" dir="ltr" data-placeholder="Tradução" data-fulltext=""> </pre>replacement for solemn vigil? Cool deck, kudos from another Paladin lover
I will give it a try, no idea how it performs since it requires only the combo to win.
How about Reno mages though? With Ice block we are done most of the time
