~Introduction~

Howdy Everyone! My name is Tera and for those that don't know me I am a multi-legend player. This is the first season that I have ever hit legend, 1/26/2017, with a control warrior deck. It was one hell of a long climb and I wanted to share my N'Zoth Warrior decklist with all of you. This deck was slightly inspired by Fibonacci, I hadn't played much control before this season and he seemed like the best starting point to introduce me into control warrior. This deck unlike other control warriors relies on N'Zoth, the Corruptor instead of Elise Starseeker to finish games. Ysera allows the ability to Dream N'Zoth, the Corruptor and give burst to Grommash Hellscream. Even though there are slightly less removal options (1x Brawl, no Gorehowl, 1x Revenge) the deck makes up for it with its added minion base. Sleep with the Fishes is a crazy card, it allows the ability to clear stealth Gadgetzan Auctioneer and destroys aggro shaman and pirate warrior boards. I hope you all enjoy this list!

P.S. Don't forget to leave a comment ;) If you have any card suggestions for the deck, I am more than happy to hear them!

~Legend Proof~

~Story~

Our story begins in the Mean Streets of Gadgetzan. It was just another dirty day for a Dirty Rat. Gadgetzan hadn't changed. Kazakus was still brewing his potions and Dirty Rat was given a simple job, take Kazakus out. On his way to stop Kazakus from brewing, loud clangs could be heard throughout the streets. An Alley Armorsmith was yelling, "Sharp Gadgetzan Steel", which sounded like a great deal to our Dirty Rat. Dirty Rat decided he deserved to take a break before smashing Kazakus's potions. Heading into the Alley Armorsmith shop, Dirty Rat crossed Baine Bloodhoof followed by two Infested Tauren. Baine Bloodhoof stared down at the Dirty Rat and muttered, "sh-ne-alo por-ah! May the days ahead be guided by the elders of long ago". Baine Bloodhoof's eyes looked clouded and the Dirty Rat knew something interesting was going down. Dirty Rat plans for the day had changed, it was time to find out what was going on with Baine Bloodhoof. Dirty Rat followed Baine Bloodhoof to the eerie docks of Gadgetzan. Dirty Rat could not believe what he had stumbled upon. Whispers of the old god, N'Zoth, the Corruptor, started to seep into the docks of gadgetzan. While he couldn't see anything he heard it, Baine Bloodhoof was trying to resurrect his father, Cairne Bloodhoof. Dirty Rat decided this was about time he left, he was dirty, but not that dirty. Returning back to town a figure appeared behind him, Sylvanas Windrunner grabbed Dirty Rat by his tail. Dirty Rat yelped, "I ain't talkin'!". Sylvanas Windrunner replied, "I have no time for games" while squeezing his tail tighter. Dirty Rat whimpered, "Me talk! Me talk!". He told her everything. As he finished talking she let his tail go. Yet, no one could be prepared for what they saw next. Cairne Bloodhoof appeared walking from the docks.

~The Deck~

Strategy

This deck is a control deck seeking primarily to destroy aggressive decks such as pirate warrior or aggro shaman. In the longer games this deck wins through managing resources. Ysera allows for a 40% chance to acquire 15-damage burst combo against renolocks. Ysera also gives the chance to Dream N'Zoth, the Corruptor which will destroy other control decks from sheer value. Dirty Rat work to negate value-based effects such as Kazakus or a taunt against aggro decks.

Notable Card Choice

Sleep with the Fishes x1 - Sleep with the Fishes work in tandum with Whirlwind effects to clear most boards. Aggro shaman and pirate warrior  rarely can come back once you clear their board with a Sleep with the Fishes. Against Miracle Rogue Sleep with the Fishes is one of the best cards, it clears stealth Gadgetzan Auctioneer which can be game winning.

Notable Card Omission

Gorehowl - Gorehowl is great, but unlike other control warrior builds we build board presence through our deathrattles. Generally, the minions will do the job of aiding in controlling the board and a Gorehowl is simply not needed. In-addition, two Gorehowls is generally needed in this meta if running them due to weapon removal being used in nearly every deck. Not playing Gorehowl means they won't have a weapon to remove (other than Fiery War Axe).

~Mulligans & Match-ups~

General Mulligans

Keep Fiery War Axe, Slam and Bash.

Match-ups

Aggro Shaman (65/35) - Keep Revenge and Ravaging Ghoul. In this match-up be greedy with your Brawl cause we only have one, but do not be greedy with your other removal. Often times Shield Slam on a Totem Golem is the best value you will get out of the card. Try not to Shield Block on turn 3 unless you need too, you want to save Shield Block for Shield Slam synergy. Sleep with the Fishes is the quickest way to secure a victory in this match-up. Try to take note on when they can play Flamewreathed Faceless, sometimes it is better to remove things awkwardly to have enough armor to Shield Slam Flamewreathed Faceless if needed. Use Dirty Rat when you have a good read on their hand, knowing they do not have a minion waiting.

Midrange Shaman (55/45) - Keep Revenge and Ravaging Ghoul. A bit more difficult than Aggro Shaman to navigate. You need to be super greedy with your Brawl. Try to stall the game until you can do 1 or 2 Dirty Rats into Brawl. You do not want to Brawl if they still have resources in hand. Always pay attention to how much damage Bloodlust would burst you.

Miracle Rogue (50/50) - Keep Revenge, Ravaging Ghoul and Sleep with the Fishes. This match-up is often times won or lost based on Sleep with the Fishes. You need to be able to ping their minions in-order to kill them with Fiery War Axe or Bash, but also be able to have a whirlwind effect to activate Sleep with the Fishes when that is needed. Pay attention to how much resources you have and try to not leave yourself without resources to clear. Sleep with the Fishes is generally best used on a stealth Gadgetzan Auctioneer

Pirate Warrior (70/30) - Keep Revenge and Ravaging Ghoul. Be super aggressive with your removal. Remember they don't have any minions above 4 health, so Shield Slam is best used on the 4 health minions. If your opponent has a board and you have Brawl, do not try to save it for more value. Pirate warrior generally runs out of steam so snapping Brawl on even a seemingly small board is the most value you will get out of it.

Reno Mage (45/55) - Keep Execute. Extremely difficult match-up, most games will depend on what you are able to snipe with Dirty Rat. You want to pull Kazakus from Dirty Rat primarily. Do not draw against Reno Mage unless you have too, most games will go to fatigue. Save Brawl for a Kazakus 10-mana revive potion, you have no other answers in the deck for them. Try to use Dirty Rats when and if they play a Doomsayer. Also play Dirty Rat when you will Brawl. Reno Mage plays 1x Dirty Rat, this is very bad when you have a card like N'Zoth, the Corruptor. You need to hold on to minions that you can in your hand. You want to dilute your hand as much as possible to try and make their Dirty Rat less likely to hit your N'Zoth, the Corruptor. This means holding onto Alley Armorsmith sometimes.

Reno Warlock (60/40) - Keep Execute and Acolyte of Pain. Lord Jaraxxus and Kazakus are the best pulls from Dirty Rat. Like with reno mage try to save your Brawl for the 10-mana Kazakus Potion. This game if you pull Lord Jaraxxus you pretty much just win, just play it to fatigue. If they do play Lord Jaraxxus, your main win condition will rely on Grommash Hellscream and Ysera. You want Ysera to give Dream, Nightmare or Ysera Awakens. Dream will provide to much value from N'Zoth, the Corruptor for Renolock to be able to deal with. Nightmare and Ysera Awakens will boost Grommash Hellscream to 15-burst for lethal. Monitor your resources to make sure you have a Grommash Hellscream activator if needed. Saving The Coin for a 3-mana activator on 10 mana for Grommash Hellscream is common. Try to hold onto minions such as Alley Armorsmith to avoiding having your N'Zoth, the Corruptor getting hit by Dirty Rat

Dragon Priest (40/60) - No Additions for Mulligan. Extremely difficult match-up, the best way to win this game is the use of double Dirty Rat into Brawl on turn 9. Dirty Rat will put an end to their dragon activators, which will disable their ability to get endless value. You will find yourself having to Shield Slam and Execute weaker minions sometimes, almost all of dragon priest minions have high health. Allowing minions to live is sometimes okay, especially if they aren't doing anymore than just a damage a turn when you are including your own hero-power.

Jade Druid (40/60) - Keep Acolyte of Pain, Ravaging Ghoul & Infested Tauren. I haven't played this match-up as much so the win-ratio may be slightly off, over-time I have been getting better against it though. This match-up isn't about playing re-actively, you need to play pro-active. This means we want early game minions and to curve out, which sounds weird for a control warrior to do. If you can curve out and play N'Zoth, the Corruptor on 10, often times the druid will not be able to clear your board. Using Dirty Rat and Brawl is a great way to destroy their ability to generate jades.
