This fight is now very difficult without Kel'Thuzad or Anyfin deck. I tried several other decks first like "Animated Armor," but they didn't work at all since Blizzard fixed/buffed the AI.
I finally beat it with this deck using only adventure legendaries and no epic cards.
To win you have to stabilize with full board control in the first phase and get your C'thun powerful and lower its mana cost with Emperor Thaurissan. When I finally chose to kill Nazra I only had 2 cards in my deck. I would have done it sooner but I needed Bronzebeard in my hand. I drew Bronzebeard 3rd to last.
Screenshot of controlling Nazra. I delayed lethal for 5+ turns:
Screenshot from right before I dropped C'thun for 102 damage 1 Shot Kill:
EDIT:
This is a BUDGET DECK containing zero epic cards and only adventure legendaries. This deck is not an easy win, you have to know the fight well and it may take a few attempts. If you want an easy win use a different deck!
I double power word gloried the first 3/3 on turn 2 and snowballed off of it super hard. First try with this deck!
Thank you, Sir. C'Thun 52/52 eleminated Malchezaar with only one try. Did 1 change: 1 C'Thun's Chosen for 1 Second-Rate Bruiser (Saved me from arcanite reaper on low hp).
THANK YOU for this list. After almost two hours and almost having a stroke, I was finally able to beat this boss. Here are some tips for anyone who is struggling - I know I did;
Substitutions: I took out the Inner Fire copies and replaced them with 1x Lightwell and 1x Greater Healing Potion. I also took out C'Thun's Chosen and threw in Second-Rate Bruiser. These will allow you to survive a lot more in the early stages. She will be a threat to you down to her last card if you aren't careful, so stay healthy. Also, the lightwell will constantly heal you and your minions, allowing you to control the board and trigger your acolytes. Use divine spirit on your lightwell as well as taunts or any 3-attack minion (elder, acolyte) so they can trade into them. When I won, I had run myself down to fatigue, as not only Brann was the last card in my deck, I also had to get my C'thun up to 36 to guarantee lethal. Could be a notable downside to taking out the cards I did.
The AI prioritizes cards like Northshire Cleric and Tournament Medic so highly, esp. with spells, that they may miss lethal in order to take them out. If the situation is really grim, just chuck one out and it MAY allow you to scrape by. Another potentially lifesaving combo is Brann into Twilight Darkmender for 20 HP, but this will make it harder to win with C'thun.
What will really help you is a big draw combo with Cleric and Circle of Healing. If you are able to draw 4-5 cards in a turn, you will likely have all the answers you need in order to stay alive. Make sure you have your fat bodies out, drop cleric, make trades, circle, then profit.
Hope this helps.
Still struggling with this deck. Any tips?
Similar decklist - one night in Studio 54
I got it 4th try and MatzeSCF got it 1st try. You are playing it wrong.
Use Kel'Thuzad or Anyfin deck if you want easy win. I didn't say this deck was easy win. I said it gets the job done without using Kel'Thuzad or Anyfin and using 0 epics. This is a budget deck.
Best guide so far! Got the win on my first try. Sure you need to get a little bit lucky (draw the 3 relevant cards) but with this guide you should beat him on your first ten tries.
Get C'Thun to at least 36/36 (Malchezaar has 30/30 life/armor + the 2 6/6 he drops right after he spawns), Get two hits from Emperor Thaurissan on Brann Bronzebeard and C'Thun. Profit.
You dont have to care or plan for the second phase otherwise. Forget all the other guides!
While we only have 4 cthun buffers how we can buff cthun above 30. Bullshit
Did you even read the deck list? I got my C'thun to 46/46 got huge buffs from Hooded Acolyte and Twilight Elder.
They were dead before they could buff another 1/1 .. I did it with anotler deck btw
