Update(04.03.2017) -1Bear Trap +1 Leeroy Jenkins
Will try it out because I have the Hunter quest. Looks fun, but it probably doesn't stand a chance in this meta. Not that I care this early in the season
Very fun deck, thank you for posting! Only played a few games, 4-2 so far at rank 12, but haven't had the chance to use Deathwing yet. Not sure if he is the best for this, but I still want to use him for the fun of it :)
You are right. I played 6 more games, and Deathwing helped me win 2. One against Dragon Priest and one against Reno Mage.
Interesting deck. I tried it as you listed it - and it felt like 2 decks competing for play time. So I made a few changes and it seems to work really well. Admittedly my changes put the cost of the deck up considerably so FTP players of those with smaller card bases might struggle to make the same changes. But as OP says, there are plenty of replacements out there.
My changes were to remove both copies of the Infested Wolf and Savannah Highmane. Their deathrattle effects didn't mesh with the deck, lots of tokens with little to do with them. I replaced them with Ysera, Deathwing, Dragonlord, Nozdormu, and Madam Goya. This makes better use of both The Curator and Barnes.
Clearly those legendary Dragons are easily interchangeable - but those, for me at least, work the best.
Nope - they ruin the flow of the early/mid game, which is secret dominated. Your opponent is too busy playing around your secrets to have much reply. Barnes and Madam Goya can pull any number of interesting things, the dragons that have no battle cries often have game over written all over them, especially if it's Deathwing, Dragonlord.
I've not yet had a game where my hand is full of weighty drakes and not much else. I will concede to you though that the risk is there to have a dead hand, given there are four 9+ mana cards, two 8s, and two 7s.
Still it's fun and that's what it's all about eh? (This is one of the reasons I love this game - so many ways to play with no one absolute right way (but countless ways to to play the wrong way!!))
