Good against: Quest Hunter, Quest Paladin, Pirate Warrior, Quest Mage (both), Quest Priest
Goes even with: Elemental Shaman, Murloc Shaman, Discardlock, Handlock, Quest Rogue
Has hard time against: Mid range Hunter
I'm currently 19-3 with this build.
Card explanations.
Fire Plume's Heart - probably doesn't need that much explaining. It's a solid quest which doesn't handicap your deck building since you want to run several taunts anyways.
Shield Slam - Solid removal. I think it's only good if you run 2 shield blocks.
Ravaging Ghoul - Perfet card for cycling with acolyte and removing hunter 1 drops. Also activates execute.
Dirty Rat - This is what makes this deck superior to any other taunt Warrior. The card wont have downside when almost everyone will be playing quest hunter with such a high amount of 1 drops. Most of the time tho you want to use these to fish for cards like Galvadon or other quest legendaries. This is a lot more consistant against hunter since he will empty his hand by turn 5 making the rat deadly accurate.
Stonehill Defender - Good low cost taunt. You need this to stay in tempo with rogues!
Black Knight - This is a wild prediction which will either be a hit or miss. There are a lot of new big taunts which might see play so I suppose trying BK out isn't that bad of an idea.
Primordial Drake - This has to be playable. 4/8 body for 2 damage effect is really good for 8 mana. It removes those quest hunter's 2hp raptors which adds in extra value and makes it a good tech overall.
Baron Geddon - 2 damage, lot of quest hunters, nuff said.
POSSIBLE CUTOUTS:
- 1x Brawl
- 1x The Curator
POSSIBLE ADDITIONS:
+ 1x Some low cost taunt
You really need both dirty rats, sorry. They are great for pulling combo cards off mage and quest minions off rogue
You almost never see either of those decks on ladder
Switched out a Direhorn for an Explore Un'goro, let you know how it goes.
please do
Very interesting approach to the new possible control warrior meta, keep up the good work man!
