Hear ye Hear ye! Galvadon is upon us and today is perfect time to talk about him! He is the bringer of doom and will make you and your friends cry in pain as he hits your face for 30 damage with no counterplay. (apart from devolve cough*cough*)
The deck has a ton of card draw to ensure that you actually draw minions to buff, and a ton of buffs to complete the quest! the best is definitely to buff Primalfin Champion for obvious reasons, in which case, you will have a very easy time to proc The Last Kaleidosaur
It also happens to have Runic Egg and Devilsaur Eggwhich can be quite a pain to remove as your opponent doesnt really want to let you have what's inside of them, but they won't really have a choice once they are buffed.
If you have him, you definitely could give a shot to the The Voraxx but he isn't necessary
All Praise Galvadon, bringer of doom and may the RNG be in your favor!
Any suggestions as a substitute for [card]Wickerflame Burnbristle [/card]?
I'm running a somewhat similar deck idea. It does okay, but it fluctuates wildly, curbstomping some games and getting destroyed in others, all depending on the luck of the draw. Any thoughts?
I've been running an also similar deck, here are some of my findings:
-Runic Egg is worthless. There are good enough cards that you can use that bringing it along when you need another card just to get a card draw off of it is stupid.
-Devilsaur Egg, conversely, is actually really good. We're talking about either 2 cards for a 4 mana 3/3, 1/4, or 1/5, that summons a 5/5 when it dies. Noticeably above curve.
-Arcane Anomaly always dies before it's useful, but opponents almost always scramble to get rid of it within a turn, which means that it's probably worth running one to make your opponent waste their smiting cards.
-Meanstreet Marshal has a lot of the same problems as runic egg, except also +1 attack. Wouldn't recommend, although I haven't the dust to say for sure.
-Stonehill Defender is incredible in this deck. Run two. Definitely.
-I don't have the dust to try Wickerflame or Sunkeeper, but I've gotten them both from Stonehill Defender, a while the Sunkeeper feels too situational, Wickerflame is a good choice, though I cannot convince myself he's worth the 1600.
-Blessing of Might has worked remarkably well for me. I'm not convinced of it's value, but it's a good choice if you can't afford the rest of the deck.
-After the Galvadon quest and The Voraxx, easily the best card in here is Spikeridged Steed. Take two. Always. Putting one on The Voraxx wins every game where it happens.
-I have yet to actually try Argent Squire. Seems solid though, so I'll try it soon.
-Fire Fly is good in just about anything, but it totally rocks in this deck.
-Use Acolyte and Pyromancer. Two each. Other forms of card draw are slower, and other forms of board clearing offer less safety from aggro. I'm also running one consecration and one equality. I have yet to draw any of the four against aggro in like 20 games, but they are good against it theoretically.
Bring along forbidden healing too. On any turn where you have a primalfin out you can toss one on him at the end to add a point to your quest, plus the extra stall helps hugely to keep you alive. Make sure to do it last though :P
Following AlmightyHelix's advice, I replaced the following and got much better results:
-1Argent Squire
+1 The Voraxx
Hi! I like this deck! I play a Murloc Quest version ( http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/798711-galvadon-murloc-paladin ) but i like the concept of Eggs buffing. Did you test it in wild with Nerubian Egg too?
Arcane Anomaly is a clever inclusion. how has it been working out for you? I haven't even gotten to play any new cards yet. I have a pretty busy work week. haven't even opened my packs. plan on doing it tonight on stream around 11pm CET, maybe sooner. i'll send out a Tweet about 15 min before I go live. You can follow me here at twitter.com/earwinfirwat.
Can i get to 5 rank with this deck.
And i prefer to add Golakka Crawler. This deck will bee weak against aggro if we don't add Crawler.
How about The Voraxx.
not technically but he is pretty decent
Only in wild
VORAX
I agree that The Voraxx is essential for this deck.
Personally, I chose to go with:
-1 Argent Squire
+1 The Voraxx
This allows for more favorable outcomes of using Small-Time Recruits, as pulling an Argent Squire is generally less helpful than Arcane Anomalies or Runic Eggs, on top of allowing for Voraxx synergy such as the ultimate turn 10 - Casting Spikeridged Steed on The Voraxx.
I just casted a spell on the voraxx, unfortunately the additional spell doesn't count towards the quest :(
which is why i didn't include voraxx in the deck :P
In this case Adding Vorax would not be considered for it's Quest value, but for it's overall Value. You DO get more for less, adding Tempo and board presence almost for free.
I'm noticing Voraxx pulls me more towards a control style deck centered around Spikeridged Steeds. Experimenting heavily. Feels very smart to store 0 mana Forbidden Healing on Primalfin, and creating extra buffs with Ivory Knight, Ysera and Grimestreet Informant. Hope i can work something out.
