Hey guys,
This deck is a bit different style from the ones I normally post on Hearthpwn since it's more about having fun rather than being super competitive. Hopefully it can shake things up for those who have gotten bored of the current meta decks. If you enjoy this type of non-meta content, please check out my YouTube/Twitch channels below!
The Combo
The full combo does 32 damage immediately with 18 potential damage remaining on the board as well. It uses Shadowstep on the Unearthed Raptor to copy the deathrattle of Leper Gnome up to 16 times which deals 16*2 =32 damage when it dies. You need to reduce 4 combo pieces with Emperor Thaurissan to cast the combo for 10 mana. The sequence is as follows:
Leper Gnome, Brann Bronzebeard, Unearthed Raptor to copy Leper Gnome, Unearthed Raptor to copy first Unearthed Raptor, Shadowstep the first Unearthed Raptor and replay to copy the second Unearthed Raptor, Shadowstep the second Unearthed Raptor to copy the first Unearthed Raptor, Eviscerate the last Unearthed Raptor you played for 32 damage.
It is probably easiest to see it executed
Mulligan Guide
Never keep any of the combo pieces. The cycle engine is similar to any Miracle Rogue list with Gadgetzan Auctioneer. Against control matchups you want to mulligan for minions and card cycle like Tomb Pillager, Azure Drake, Gadgetzan Auctioneer whereas against aggro matchups you're usually looking for your early game removal with Backstab, Deadly Poison, SI:7 Agent, Eviscerate, and I still like to keep Tomb Pillager if you have a decent hand. Feel free to use your Preparation to help cycle the Shiv and Fan of Knives with the Gadgetzan Auctioneer since they aren't essential for the combo. You want to save up for the OTK combo against control matchups, but against aggro you may need to adjust your game plan and use Shadowstep to protect your Gadgetzan Auctioneer cycles. Anyways, keep in mind that this list is meant to be fun and different from the meta, not necessarily to be very competitive. Enjoy~ ^^
Pretty much how lots of combo decks are, but yes, this requires a lot of cards.
Seems fine to substitute like that if you want.
Interesting idea. But its to slow in lower ranks 10 and belowish
This is not meant to be a competitive deck, as OP clearly stated literally in the first sentence of the guide.
Yeah, it's more about having something fun and a bit different
Any replacement for Bloodmage and Preparation?
replace Bloodmage with Kobold Geomancer there is no replacement for prep. Prep is a must have rogue card, better craft it, if you play rogue class
In a draw-reliant deck, Loot Hoarder is probably better
Preparation is very important to Rogue as others have mentioned, and loot is fine for bloodmage.
got me from rank 16 to rank 20 (0 stars) .. zero wins......
the idea is sweet but not playable on the tempometa
Might want to change decks until you notice the meta slows down a bit then. Good luck!
Probably shadowstrike is the flex spot for that.
Any replacements for Bloodmage Thalnos. pls
Kobold Geomancer or Loot Hoarder your choice
The cycle is probably more important than the spell power, so I'd say loot hoarder over the kobold.
Questing adventurer or Violet teacher
Thanks for the follow and glad you have a fun standard deck now! You can also consider novice engineers/loot hoarders if you want a faster cycle. Coldlight can be a bit risky against aggro decks.
O would like to put 1 Ancient Mage to have a second win condition. What card would be the best to replace?
That's not a win condition
Awesome deck ! Just won a game against anyfin paladin, thank you very much
