Hey guys,
This deck is a bit different style from the ones I normally post on Hearthpwn since it's more about having fun rather than being super competitive. Hopefully it can shake things up for those who have gotten bored of the current meta decks. If you enjoy this type of non-meta content, please check out my YouTube/Twitch channels below!
The Combo
The full combo does 32 damage immediately with 18 potential damage remaining on the board as well. It uses Shadowstep on the Unearthed Raptor to copy the deathrattle of Leper Gnome up to 16 times which deals 16*2 =32 damage when it dies. You need to reduce 4 combo pieces with Emperor Thaurissan to cast the combo for 10 mana. The sequence is as follows:
Leper Gnome, Brann Bronzebeard, Unearthed Raptor to copy Leper Gnome, Unearthed Raptor to copy first Unearthed Raptor, Shadowstep the first Unearthed Raptor and replay to copy the second Unearthed Raptor, Shadowstep the second Unearthed Raptor to copy the first Unearthed Raptor, Eviscerate the last Unearthed Raptor you played for 32 damage.
It is probably easiest to see it executed
Mulligan Guide
Never keep any of the combo pieces. The cycle engine is similar to any Miracle Rogue list with Gadgetzan Auctioneer. Against control matchups you want to mulligan for minions and card cycle like Tomb Pillager, Azure Drake, Gadgetzan Auctioneer whereas against aggro matchups you're usually looking for your early game removal with Backstab, Deadly Poison, SI:7 Agent, Eviscerate, and I still like to keep Tomb Pillager if you have a decent hand. Feel free to use your Preparation to help cycle the Shiv and Fan of Knives with the Gadgetzan Auctioneer since they aren't essential for the combo. You want to save up for the OTK combo against control matchups, but against aggro you may need to adjust your game plan and use Shadowstep to protect your Gadgetzan Auctioneer cycles. Anyways, keep in mind that this list is meant to be fun and different from the meta, not necessarily to be very competitive. Enjoy~ ^^
If you save a prep you can afford to discount one less piece of the combo with emperor right?
still wrapping my brain around it! Nicely done
not really, the only spell used costs 0
But you use eviscerate to kill the raptor at the end of the combo
Yes, you are correct that you can use prep for the eviscerate. You are also not totally lost if you don't discount enough combo pieces if you're able to get some coins off of the tomb pillager.
ugh, agreed, sorry
Great deck! Any replacements for [Tomb Pillager]?
Pillager is a really great card, giving a good body that has a deathrattle (for N'zoth) that gives a free spell to trigger combos, but it's not crucial to this deck working. You can substitute really any 4-drop here.
Pillager is really there to help your gadgetzan cycles, so if you cut it for something like refreshment vendors then you'll need to think about swapping 1 or 2 gadgetzan for 1 or 2 sprints.
First try, got Brann and leper gnome as last cards. Lukcy me was against Control Priest, so worked perfect since used Thaurissian before last turn. Really nice way to win xD
Yeah, against control priest is great experience~
Haha, rip priest ;) a very slow death xD
You can easily beat the innkeeper in practise mode. Not anything else
*actually can't even beat that one either
i really have fun with this deck . thank you :D keep doing the great deck
No problem ;) glad you're having fun!
This was such a cool combo in the 1 mana 1/1 tavern brawl. I just gave this version a try and am suprised to see it working reasonably well.
Very Nice to see this working in constructed, I'll be playing it some more for sure.
Constructed also includes unranked play, and "working" doesn't mean high win rate it just means that it is possible to win.
Glad you are having some success with it! I didn't even get to try it out in the tavern brawl but that sounds pretty insane =P
I sucks haha the only game i won out 8 matches with this deck it wansn't even due to the combo, feels bad man.
Haha, feelsbadman. Sometimes the meta is just too aggro for miracle rogue which is already disadvantaged against those kind of face decks, so you can see why this deck would struggle even more against that. Hopefully you do queue into some control matchups though!
