Deathspeaker is straight up better with no Beast condition. Good job Blizzard considering this is a class card and an Epic, and it's worse than a neutral common
Do i make gladiators longbow or this. I already have call of the wild but i need more for my midrange beast hunter.
bit naughty
Why does this not see any play? Anyways it probably will see play with Giant Sandworm and other large beasts if blizzard pushes control hunter like it seems to be doing.
... no, it wont...
Because it has awful stats for the cost and a very situational battlecry. Same as Forlorn Stalker.
One of those cards that just SCREAMS "epic" with its very presence. Up there with Bestial Wrath, Far Sight, Junkbot, and Poisoned Blade. Who wouldn't spend 400 dust for a worse, costlier, situational version of a mechanic that appears on a Paladin common (Argent Protector)? Not to mention the vibe of sheer power radiating off the art of some random girl feeding her unicorn thingy a carrot!
In all seriousness, I think I got good use out of her once, when I discovered her off a Jeweled Scarab immediately before sending my Savannah Highmane crashing into a Loatheb.
Giant Sandworm + This = value.
Never seen this in play. Not only that, I only recently discovered that I had this card. Best 100 dust ever
Not that bad to get it from Lock and Load
Immediately DE'd my gold one, there's feeling behind those eyes
Same here...
A interesting card. 4/2 for 3 manas is ok. In the perfect occasion you can to use that in a savannah highmane with a fantastic value. My note for this card is 7/10.
u rly think thqt 4-2 for 3 is ok?? i think its pretty bad
Big Game Hunter is 4/2, has a fantastic effect as stablemaster, and is widely used.
Same theory for that card.
I disagree that this "has a fantastic effect" akin to Big Game Hunter. BGH will clear a really big minion regardless of things like divine shield, this will only get value like that assuming you already have a big (beast) minion on the board without summoning sickness.
Except that it's much less situational and much more effective, aside from being used in very similar situations, since current meta's early game beasts are weak and savanah comes on turn 6, which is usually when the 7/X creatures come into the board. You usually trade with Knife Juggler or Mad Scientist. You could do that with card buffed by Houndmaster, but it would cost you 7 mana. And finally, hunters don't use BGH even with this pros.
In a meta without secrets, without mad scientists, no SMorc and with the possibility to include a 2+ atack beast at turn 2, it would be a great card, huge instant card advantage.
BGH is one of the best cards around. 4/2 stats are irrelevant in that case. Its effect more than compensates its stats. In this case, it simply sucks balls. "Used in 1.30% of hunter decks". BGH is used in almost 29% of all decks. Bottomline: this card is shite.
So THAT'S why you eat carrots.
