uhm... a coin is WAY better than totemic?
I know, but it is still fairly disappointing given all the available stuff you can get.
depends on the turn you get it and the class. i would take a coin over most other the other spells as rogue turn 3. innervate would be better but still better than totemic, shatter, shieldslam or other cards you cant even use
Out the door? No, not yet.
Miracle Rogue doesn't use Emperor Thaurissan, much less does it need him.
Except Emperor Thaurissan isn't cycling out yet.
pillager is good in every rogue deck, coin is only good in miracle. i would have preferded an "investment" card like 1 mana: get 2 coins on turn 3, so rogue can heropower turn 2 and get back on board turn 3
I think this card is only middle of the road and therefore won't see much play. Are you really going to take this utility card over the likes of Prep?
I guess one rank 20 will, lol. Doesn't like what I have to say
You know the spell aggro decks Shaman had in late 2015 after LoE was released? And how some of them ran Lava Burst even though it's basically a worse version of Crackle? It costs more, has a higher overload and barely does higher damage on average. The only reason you would even run Lava Burst is if you already had 2 Crackles your deck. Same thing with Twisting Nether and DOOM!. Doom is worse than Twisting; you'd still rather run one of each than two Twistings because you can have one of each in your deck and still use Reno Jackson
You don't run Counterfeit Coin instead of Preparation, you run it with Preparation. This card basically lets you run 4 copies of Prep in your deck.
We'll see, I don't think it'll happen unless in a gimmick miracle rogue deck.
innervate lol
I think its kind of a joke.
people always joke that coin is worth a card in rogue, etc.
I know its purpose, but it just looks *so bad* when compared to innervate
I hate this for its pure unoriginality. Also, I'm pretty sure it sucks.
I think this card is suuper overrated. I really don't think this card will see any play. Yes, you can activate combo and draw with auctioneer, but you can already do that with other cards. Most of your big tempo plays as rogue come from casting spells, and you already have prep for that. Now of course, there's the argument of "yeah it's probably worse than prep, but you can only put 2 preps in your deck". I agree, there is merit to having cards similar to prep after you already have 2 in your deck because prep's a good card. You can compare this to cards like Sinister Strike, Shadowstep, Journey Below, and Bladed Cultist. What all of these cards have in common is that they're all 0 or 1 costing rogue cards that activate combo, and or also draw with auctioneer, and most importantly, they're all never played in the same deck. You wouldn't want that many low cost cards in your rogue deck, so you'd have to cut something bigger to replace with the coin. I don't think a mini innervate is worth replacing anything in your deck with currently and rogue was notorious for getting absolutely nothing good from TgT which is phasing out, so rogue decks will only get more powerful when the expansion comes out.
tldr; rogue decks have a very thin line for how many minions/non-minions you can have for your deck to be viable, and I don't see this card being good enough to replace any of the spells you already have access to. Besides, you get free coins from Tomb Pillager and a ton of potential combo enablers from Swashburglers and Undercity Hucksters
Tomb Pillager is rotating out. He's the reason Miracle Rogue/Maly Rogue work at all right now. I agree that this isn't as good as it seems, but I don't think Rogue is going to be in a good place in standard when the rotation hits.
I always hoped there was some way i can prep my minions. I guess this is the answer.
minnervate
