the ability is good but it's useless compared to Faerie Dragon.
If it was even a 2/2 it would be massively better, or as a 3/1 it could trade into 2/3s.
If you could buff elementals with battlecrys or handbuff it with a spell then I'd change my mind
Remember on Stream when Frodan's opponent tried to ping this?
and ? you cant even buff this guy its just a 2 1
WTF. Good 1-drops that are not massive tempo swings and a playable Priest 2 drop in 1 set.
Not as good as the other 1 mana elementals, but I think it will still see play as I think the shaman elemental deck will need 1 mana elementals to activate the elemental synergy, but still have the ability to counter the opponents play the previous turn.
because you can't have three Fire Fly in your deck to do this. It's about having as much as possible to allow countering but also elemental synergy play
I'm not talking about this card being the all be all of turn 1 plays. It is about having a deck that can have high impact elemental synergy cards like the legendary or the blazecaller I think it's called and a few others, but not have to go all out with the elementals in favor of other power cards shamans have come to love. Thing from Below is an obvious example. But still having the ability to use these high impact elemental synergies could be very useful, but you need these cheap cost elementals because not every time you lay down one of your 1 mana elementals is playing that blazecaller or the taunt elemental synergy card going to be the good play on that next turn. And if it isn't well now you're down another one of these 1 mana elementals. If you have 2 Fire Fly [/card]and 2 [card]glacier shard well that's only 4 draws for an elemental. if you picked up the glacier and no other it puts you in a bad spot not being able to use your cards effectively. Having this card increases the consistency of the synergy. However the Igneous Elemental may be the replacement for this card depending on how slow that card is and if it can keep up with whatever the meta swings at you.
What I'm trying to say in a bit less elemental deck you'll need more elementals to sustain the synergy and only 4 of the 1 cost isn't going to do it all the time.
The art looks pretty dope
imagine golden!
With the existence of the other 2/1 Elemental that Freezes, this card seems underwhelming. Well, while Freeze is a better mechanich, it doesn't stop pings and spells, while this card does it.
This card can stop Fireblast and spells. Glacial Shard can stop Dagger Mastery and Shapeshift. Both cards do their own purpose very well.
Glacial Shard can also freeze the 5+ attack minion from hitting your own or your face.
This just dodges a ping in the early game. No one is using a spell on this usually.
Probably will see play because I think the shaman elemental decks will be based on its ability to play whatever to counter the opponent, but leaving 1 mana for one of the 1 mana elementals to set up elemental synergy for the next turn and they'll need as mana 1 drop elementals to keep that up as possible.
The whole problem with 2/1s is that they can be pinged, this can still be killed by a dagger or a druid, but it certainly should not be overlooked.
I think it'll get played because of its ability to activate elemental synergy for the next turn for elementals decks for cheap allowing shamans to activate the synergy, but still counter the opponents play.
Elemental synergy, let's hope it's worth it. Don't think it'S worth to use over Firefly
so a worse Worgen Infiltrator but elemental instead
Gotta troll those oppressive mages somehow :^)
The art looks like Al'Akir the Windlord when he was just a level 1 scrub.
