Pretty simple, for folks that want to try something different and have a little fun. (Because of comments posted, let me be clear...this is undoubtedly NOT the best deck you can play for this Brawl).
Some folks are getting hung up on the legendaries...tailor it how you want. The key is the first 5 turns. Load the deck up with whatever 6+ mana minions you want and have access to in your collection. There is no correct lineup to use. Use Boulderfist Ogre, Ravenholdt Assassin, Eldritch Horror and Faceless Behemoth if you want. Go nuts. Fill it with C'Thun and activators, go with all common cards, go all legendaries, whatever.
Turn 1 - Sir Finley (hoping for Warlock power)
Turn 2 - Doomsayer
Turn 3 - Alarm-o-Bot
Turn 4 - Astral Communion
Turn 5 - Nourish or Lunar Visions
Turn 6 & beyond - Profit
If your mulligan goes bad, just concede and on to the next game. Remember you will lose whatever cards are in your hand come Turn 4.
1 - Sir Morgan Finley
2- Twilight Geomancer (just to save the Bot)
3- Alarm-O-Bot
4-Astral Communion
fill with every strong taunt you have, and Y'Shaarj. (unfortunately he will not be drawn on the turn after 4, but he is of course a strong minion)
Nourish sounds nice, but you can play every turn a big taunt, so i think nourish is here to slow. Same about Warlocks ability: you cannot play more then one strong taunt, so better chose Hunter ability.
This is a terrible deck, done 4 brawls and can't win the free pack. I'll go try a different deck
This is not Wallet Druid. This is Truckload Druid because that's how much dust you need. Upvoted.
Sir Finley Mrrgglton is a much better choice for your 1 drop so you can try for Warlock hero power.
You should also not have any cards after your 1,2,3,4 combo less than 7 mana to maximize your draws after Astral Communion
Try this one guys:
The Curator is great for pulling Sir Finley as well so you don't draw into a 1-drop.
I'm playing Alarm-o-Bot as my 3 mana card, as it sometimes pulls a good minion to the board before my turn 4 Astral Communion. I also made Reno Jackson my only 6 mana card, so I know I have him in hand for healing against those early aggro decks. As much as you'd like to run some more fun cards, you do need a fair number of high cost taunts in here to survive against people just going face. You out-value them, but you're only playing one minion at a time and can't clear their board.
I like the Alarm-o-Bot idea...might have to give that a try. If it pulls a minion out it accomplishes the same goal as Acolyte. Nice idea!
This is a lot of fun! My Chromaggus just drew into Lunar Visions, and filled my hand with two Rag, two Ysera, two Soggoth, and two Y'Shaarj. Loving it.
Yeah, I slapped something similar together. My 1 was a Jade to throw off opponent, 2 and 3 were C'Thun boosters, 4 was Astral.
After that, all heavy hitters including taunt ones, Aviana, C'Thun buffers (and the one that restores him if dead), big draw card minions, etc.
After finishing the tavern brawl quest I got, I decided to get more fancy eliminating dupes and including Reno. I did keep a copy of the 6 mana heal.
I like the idea of the Doomsayer though. Guess I was being greedy guaranteeing a 10 C'Thun after Astral.
isn't it shorter to call this deck "p2w ftw"?
Why discarding your hand if you can use the Pilfered Power?
Wanted to build an Astral deck at first too but ended with this list:
I removed all 9 and 10 drops but Aviana and Kun the Forgotten King to make sure you win on turn 10. Mostly you can hero power + 8 mana drop or smaller to keep up the board.
5-1 so far. Lost to a hunter getting Acidmaw from Ram Wrangler.
The is one of the strongest uses of this brawl format. It is hard to build a deck around a 3-4 card sequence if you are only allowed to have one card at that cost. This deck works around that limitation because after you ramp to 10, anything you draw is fine, and you only want huge minions and spells.
This deck is fun, however you have a high chance of a loss going second.
Fun Deck, i only miss on two Lunar Visions, the rest i have. Some inprovising but absolutly fun to play hahaha
Only 16k dust missing, great!
Fill it with whatever big minions you want. I chose a bunch of legendaries because...well, why not? This was just a shot at a fun deck to try and play a little differently. Plenty of "standard" decks you can play if you choose. Honestly, just play the standard aggro pirate warrior and you'll do fine.
Destroyed 2 pirate warriors with this. Also winning fairly consistently against other decks. See below for one example. Second screenshot is after he cast Timepiece of Horror...lol
Thanks, fun deck, easy win! :)
