Have won my last 15 games straight with this deck, will update as time goes on.
Play curve, and trade efficiently, and buff up C'Thun. Use C'Thun or Fireball to finish.
Arcane Blast can be replaced with Arcane Missiles
Twin Emperor Vek'lor can be replaced with Twilight Geomancer
Brann Bronzebeard(currently under consideration for replacement) can be replaced with Twilight Geomancer or Twilight Elder
x1 Polymorph is for the mass amount of C'Thun decks out their right now. Bait C'thun, then Polymorph it.
While most are having success some are having trouble so I am doing a little guide here.
Number 1 trade efficiently. Try your best to use a little cards as possible to trade with. Secondly, think ahead about what your going to finish with, espicially if you do not have C'thun in your hand. C'thun can easilly be one of the last 5 cards in your deck. If thats the case you might want to look at alternative routes to finishing someone. You can be agressive with this deck, in a matter of fact you should be aggressive. Just play board, clear minions, hit face when you can and make sure to be counting up your damage. If you have a fireball in hand and your opponent is already at half health think of a way to get them in fireball range. C'thun is there to give you the extra punch you may need with control and other midrange/tempo decks. Against aggro think more about making sure their board doesn't get out of control.
Maybe another reason why a few people are struggling is because the old tempo mage focused more on using spell synergy rather than minions to trade efficiently. Remeber spells are not your only way to gain tempo, use your minions to.
Follows these rules and you will have success like everyone else has with this deck.
Here are two videos of the deck in play, not by me, but other playerd who play this deck very well. Should be a nice for people who want to know more about playing the deck
Deck has been updated to reflect meta (4/30/16)
Nice deck you got here :3 ! Had a bit of fun gotta love Flamestrike top deck :D !
Thank you so much for the feature I am happy you enjoyed the deck
You're welcome thanks for sharing it :D !
The decks seems strong currently 5-0 after leader reset. Can see it struggling against Druid but so far so good.
I let numbers speak for themselves. Testing shows the deck to have a high win rate. Personally I tend to wreck druid, Priest ends up being more of a struggle for me sometimes. Otherwise it seems to go well. Regardless of what you think, numbers speak louder than words. The numbers show high win rates. Whether its tier 1 or not is another story. I would say Tier 2 definitely though.
put in 2 crazed worshiper instead of 2 c'thun's chosen the taunt and flexibility to get more buffs seems to work more
Arcane Missiles
I will check it out, I am laddering on my alt with this deck in standard. Using my main to ladder in wild, and test deck ideas in standard. Will try this replacement on my main. It might work really well against zoo, so I am interested to try it. If it works I will update deck
not really liking it
I wish I had the same experience. So far I've only won twice out of 8 games. Granted, those two wins were spectacular but 2/8?
Deck has been updated with 1 card change and a guide to help out. That should help you :)
So far best c'thun deck I tried.
Hey! Been using this deck sofar at around rank 14, seems good so far but I felt like the sorc apprentices were kind of pointless. I added Sylvanas for turn 9 anti c'thun measures, and a second twilight elder instead. Works for me so far! 6/1 with it, only losing to a particularly aggressive turn 1 innervate.
Why isn't Flamewaker in this?
Flamewaker requires lots of spells to work efficiently. With the loss of Flamecannon and Unstable Portal he is not as good as he once was in standard. In order to make Flamewaker run correctly in this deck you would have to add more spells, at the cost of ruining C'Thun synergy. The lack of spells is also why Archmage Antonidas isn't in the deck. Instead of using your spells to trade efficiently, rely on your minions to.
Nice solid deck, i replaced the sorcerer's apprentices with arcane blast and doomcaller and works wonders.
Since I don't have Twin, neither Brann I replaced them with Twilight Geomancer and Twilight Elder, but I have one Crazed Worshipper is there any card I can replace with him?
Sorcerer's Apprentice is'nt doing it for me so far. It rarely see good use since this deck is not so spell heavy and we don,t need the cheap spells for Flamewaker or Archmage like we usualy do in tempo.
Thinking of replacing it. Not sure with what yet, maybe mirror image.
twin emperor replacement?
he stated the substitution above
