Have won my last 15 games straight with this deck, will update as time goes on.
Play curve, and trade efficiently, and buff up C'Thun. Use C'Thun or Fireball to finish.
Arcane Blast can be replaced with Arcane Missiles
Twin Emperor Vek'lor can be replaced with Twilight Geomancer
Brann Bronzebeard(currently under consideration for replacement) can be replaced with Twilight Geomancer or Twilight Elder
x1 Polymorph is for the mass amount of C'Thun decks out their right now. Bait C'thun, then Polymorph it.
While most are having success some are having trouble so I am doing a little guide here.
Number 1 trade efficiently. Try your best to use a little cards as possible to trade with. Secondly, think ahead about what your going to finish with, espicially if you do not have C'thun in your hand. C'thun can easilly be one of the last 5 cards in your deck. If thats the case you might want to look at alternative routes to finishing someone. You can be agressive with this deck, in a matter of fact you should be aggressive. Just play board, clear minions, hit face when you can and make sure to be counting up your damage. If you have a fireball in hand and your opponent is already at half health think of a way to get them in fireball range. C'thun is there to give you the extra punch you may need with control and other midrange/tempo decks. Against aggro think more about making sure their board doesn't get out of control.
Maybe another reason why a few people are struggling is because the old tempo mage focused more on using spell synergy rather than minions to trade efficiently. Remeber spells are not your only way to gain tempo, use your minions to.
Follows these rules and you will have success like everyone else has with this deck.
Here are two videos of the deck in play, not by me, but other playerd who play this deck very well. Should be a nice for people who want to know more about playing the deck
Deck has been updated to reflect meta (4/30/16)
great deck, went from 16 to 7 with only 3 loses
looks fun, will try tomorrow!
Falling down from 9 to 11. Something definitely wrong with this deck.
Deck has been updated to reflect changes in the meta, day 1 the deck worked perfectly got from 18-9 on my alt account without problems.
Meta changes though. The new one works fine, I went down from 9 to 11 myself on the old one, made changes and now up to rank 4. Happy laddering.
If I hit legends with it, will post pic
I swapped the two arcane blasts for Justicar and Arcane Missles ( i don't see myself in a situation where ill be trying to do damage to something big with it due to the new meta.)
yeah great call, I did the same, at rank 4 as well on my alt with this deck. Maybe we will see each other :P
Really nice deck, like it a lot!
Switched out 2 Twilight Geomancers and a Twilight Elder for 2 Disciple of C'Thuns and a Brann Bronzebeard. I found the removal potential of the Disciple more useful than the early taunt (this deck aims on having initiative anyway), and Brann has crazy sinergy with most of our minions. (The dream is Brann + Faceless Summoner or Brann + C'Thun)
How many times did you actually get to play cthun? isnt tempo mage too fast for a 10 mana god?
