Have won my last 15 games straight with this deck, will update as time goes on.
Play curve, and trade efficiently, and buff up C'Thun. Use C'Thun or Fireball to finish.
Arcane Blast can be replaced with Arcane Missiles
Twin Emperor Vek'lor can be replaced with Twilight Geomancer
Brann Bronzebeard(currently under consideration for replacement) can be replaced with Twilight Geomancer or Twilight Elder
x1 Polymorph is for the mass amount of C'Thun decks out their right now. Bait C'thun, then Polymorph it.
While most are having success some are having trouble so I am doing a little guide here.
Number 1 trade efficiently. Try your best to use a little cards as possible to trade with. Secondly, think ahead about what your going to finish with, espicially if you do not have C'thun in your hand. C'thun can easilly be one of the last 5 cards in your deck. If thats the case you might want to look at alternative routes to finishing someone. You can be agressive with this deck, in a matter of fact you should be aggressive. Just play board, clear minions, hit face when you can and make sure to be counting up your damage. If you have a fireball in hand and your opponent is already at half health think of a way to get them in fireball range. C'thun is there to give you the extra punch you may need with control and other midrange/tempo decks. Against aggro think more about making sure their board doesn't get out of control.
Maybe another reason why a few people are struggling is because the old tempo mage focused more on using spell synergy rather than minions to trade efficiently. Remeber spells are not your only way to gain tempo, use your minions to.
Follows these rules and you will have success like everyone else has with this deck.
Here are two videos of the deck in play, not by me, but other playerd who play this deck very well. Should be a nice for people who want to know more about playing the deck
Deck has been updated to reflect meta (4/30/16)
Do you guys think that this deck could fit a couple Flamewaker? I love that card. If so what can I cut? Thanks in advance.
If I ran Flamewaker I would cut the sorcerers apprentice since I tend to not get much value from that card. I've been experimenting with different additions instead of that card.
this deck is garbage for 10-20 rank. sorry
The only trouble i'm having is against Zoo Warlock decks. I always get pushed and can't seem to win. Against everyone else I have a winning record though.
Can you please make a guide on play against different decks?
Is there space for Archmage Antonidas?
I took out twilight Elder. It's working out pretty good
Seems like a good deck, went 5-1 in mid teens ranked.
No Blackrock cards?
replacement for brann?
thoughts about putting in a doomcaller? maybe replace a faceless summoner?
I'm 6-0 with the deck, trading your minions really good is key here. Keep board control all the time, use your spells to clear minions and build your C'Thun.
Would Rhonin have a good spot on this deck? If so, what should I replace it for?
C'Thempo mage
havent won one game with this game, ranked or casual. Deleted.
Well I just won my first game against a Paladin. So that must mean that you're not very good. #Logic
You're just not playing right. It's a tempo mage... I've gota 73% win rate with this deck so far and im at rank 13 from 20.
If you cant win with this deck, the best option for you is delete the game not the deck.
not a solid deck right now, in my opinion.
Yogg is fun as hell but he's got bipolar! one minute he's your friend the next *BOOM* Pyroblast to the face! so NO.
